Best and Worst Lightning Lanes (timing)

Of course there was a Touring Plans article from only 6 weeks ago that was exactly what I was looking for! Thank you! Their color-coded table is particularly great.

Best and Worst Lightning Lanes (timing)

A topic I have not seen: what are the best and worst lightning lanes, from a time-saving perspective only -- i.e., in terms of how long the LL line itself typically is, and how long the line for the ride is after the merge? We have seen lots of mentions that waits can still be long for Tron...

How Leak Proof is the Refillable mug?

I would never even get on a bus holding a full mug, even with a lid on - they are that leaky. But we have brought them empty to parks plenty of times, for a few reasons. We used to keep the mugs on the sides of our backpacks, and I always felt like that was a bit unsanitary. I read a tip...

    Beverages with QS meals

We haven't used the dining plan since 2015, but that is exactly what we did back then. We'd come back to our resort for a mid-day break and get a late lunch, using our refillable mugs for drinks, but then we would each get a smoothie as our QS drink. We'd stash the smoothies and have them...

    Question about timeline Genie+

You should be able to make a new one, as soon as you are fully scanned in to your 8:15 ride. By "fully scanned in," that means scanning your LL once for the rides that only have one scanner, or the second time for the rides that have two scanners (with one at the entrance, and a second...

Disney Dining Plan Quick Service vs. Table Service

This is exactly what we are planning. We will still have lots of good variety with QS options, and we typically bring food to eat a light breakfast while waiting at rope drop. If a lot of stuff at Food & Wine looks good, we may actually end up only doing one TS, and all the rest QS, plus...

    First Trip Questions

For our first big family WDW trip, we did 9 park days. We certainly didn't _need_ that many park days, but the extra cost of days 7-8-9 were very low, and it made all of our park days much easier to navigate, when there were still so many unknowns for us. We actually visited in early November...

    Snack question

Between desserts not being included in QS meals, only 1 snack credit pp/per day, and all the great options to use snack credits at the Epcot festivals, I feel like there is a MUCH lower chance now of having a bunch of extra snack credits.

    Caribbean Beach 5th Sleeper Bed

We have stayed at CBR twice with three kids, and they all want a turn on the sleeper bed; they love it. My wife is 5'4" and she took a nap on the sleeper bed once, when she could have used a queen bed (I took the kids to the pool), and she said it was great for her. But it might be different...

    Is Eet now DDP eligible?

I have no answers, but that is good news -- thanks for the heads up. I would assume that QSDP can now be used for meals, but it would be great if someone can confirm.

Is MK really more crowded on Mondays than Sundays?

With a 14-day trip and park hopper, you should have tons of time for everything. Depending on how many park days you're planning, I would either mostly avoid rope drop or plan on alternating park days with rest/resort/slower days. On your specific questions: Data and anecdotes seem to say EEH...

Everything Genie, Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lane - Please Read Posts 1-7

Looking at what's available today as of opening, it's a rough day for Genie+. At Epcot, Frozen and Remy LLs were gone before the 9 am regular opening, and Test Track was out to 8:20 pm. And Test Track is gone as of 9:15 am. That means at 11 am, most people will book Soarin' or Mission Space...

AYCTE Opinion Question- What do YOU think?

Yes, this thread reminded me of how -- practically a generation ago -- our Ohana server gave each of our kids a POG juice to go, in a disposable cup. We didn't ask for it, nor were our kids particularly chugging down juice, as I remember it. I assume the server was just trying to end our...

    Water Parks - Summer 2024

That makes sense, and that's what we were assuming, but it's disappointing. Thanks

    Water Parks - Summer 2024

Has there been confirmation that only Typhoon Lagoon, and not Blizzard Beach, will be open in Summer 2024? With Typhoon Lagoon already selling tickets for H2O Glow this summer, it seems like TL will be 100% be open throughout the summer, but we were really hoping both water parks would be open...

Do any quick service do free refills?

I have nothing useful to add, but at MK, Be Our Guest __used to__ have free refills when it was QS for breakfast and dinner. BoG was such a relaxing break for lunch, as long as you had a QS reservation. Now MK is back to being a desert!

Wait time vs quality of attraction

Everest line has always moved quickly with those long trains, but it is especially good now because people either don't do Genie+ at AK, or they do it but of course can only use one LL on Everest. So Everest doesn't get as bogged down as other rides letting LL folks ahead of standby...

Child Has To Order From Kids Menu Quickservice?

Same question for Sleepy Hollow - wondering if we could get our 6-year-old a waffle sandwich or corn dog, with a milk, and have that count as a kids meal credit on the QS plan, since they have no kids meals at Sleepy Hollow? (The rest of us would order from Columbia Harbour House and we'd all...

Our worst day at WDW in 16 years...

Exactly. To me, OP's experience and complaints are valid, even though as I was reading, of course I was thinking, "You showed up 'right after rope drop' and went to Remy? Does that mean like you got in line at 9:01 am and walked over to Remy? That has to be the worst strategy possible."...

    About genie+

The other way it is limited is that you can only book each ride once with G+. So even if everyone bought it, there may not be a ton of people in the LL line for certain rides at certain times of the day. At AK, the standby line for Everest usually moves quickly in the late afternoon (even if...
