Here Now & Just Back WDW Reopening Experiences Including Park Hopping

We just got back home Saturday after a week at OKW. The waits were long but not unmanageable. DHS waits were shorter than they were in October during our times there. The only ride we didn't ride that we normally would have was Splash Mountain. 65 minute waits and the mask required part of...

    News Round Up 2021

Since I will likely never visit Chicago again I am happy to see one in a town I do frequently visit and I'll be looking for to the Italian Beef with great anticipation.

Disney trip approaching fast and all I'm stressed about is a darn boarding group on RotR

I am 0-5 in terms of days in DHS and boarding groups gotten. Hopefully we will have better luck on at least one of our DHS days in June.

What is the etiquette re: lines?

Didn't say we were special. We didn't interfere with anyone's personal space and he got a break he needed and didn't have to walk from AS2 to the end of the line. If this is the worst thing I ever do at WDW I'm doing ok.

What is the etiquette re: lines?

I would never squeeze past anyone in an indoor queue to rejoin my group nor would anyone I was travelling with. That being said, in September in 90 degree heat with masks on I had no problem sending DW and DS10 to go get a drink while I began waiting in line near the animation courtyard for...

What’s the wettest you ever got at a Disney Theme Park?

Staying at OKW one April and we were back from the parks for the day. I had gotten the boys Mcdonalds for dinner bc to them that is a 5 star meal. DW and I were discussing what we were going yo do. She says "Would you go get me vegetable soup from All Star Sports" "Sure" I said. I walked...

Is there an advantage to stay onsite anymore?

If I am not mistaken you would get free parking with a point rental. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

All 4 parks in one day???

My oldest and I hit 4 parks in one day...on a sweltering day in August. We literally changed clothes between each park. Started in AK in line at 6:45 for FOP, then hit EE x 3 and Dinosaur. Went and changed and went to DHS for TOT x 2 and RnRC, went back, changed and went to MK for the Buzz...

Is there an advantage to stay onsite anymore?

I turn 50 in October too :). As an adult I have never stayed off site so I can't really speak to that but it's the proximity and transportation that keeps us onsite. We had a large group (14) ages 3-69 and the transportation made it possible for everyone to come and go as they pleased. We ate...

phone in shorts front pocket. any issues?

I always wear cargo shorts (regardless of what the haters say) not just at WDW. I did forget to move my phone from the tech pocket to one of the pockets with closures and lost it on EE one time. I walked back to the unloading area and the CM was holding it waiting for me.

    Question regarding experience without FP

The lines Labor Day week were LONG and I'm not talking time (not that they were short) but physically long. I got in line for Slinky Dog about 50 feet from the animation courtyard. DW and DS10 went and got a cold drink and some shade and waited for me to get within sight before coming to join...

What to do on arrival day?

We will be driving down in June probably arriving sometime near 3 o'clock. It was under $100 to add a day to our park tickets so I did just in case. If WDW extends hours we will go, if not we won't. I made a park reservation for MK but you just pointed out that Epcot would be a better choice...

    News Round Up 2020

The tarp went up our last day there. DS9 was very upset he swore he was going down it (he probably wasn't). When I asked a lifeguard said they were "freshening it up." I guess i should have asked a busdriver
