Can you share a place you couldnt wait to eat but was a huge letdown

CRT :( We've been twice, and I don't regret it because my daughter loved meeting the princesses in the castle. Terrible food and mediocre service for an outrageous price. We went to Akershus this trip instead and were pleased. The food was better and the princesses were less rushed.

    Kona Cafe- yay or nay?

A week ago I was a definite yay on Kona. It was our favorite breakfast on our last trip. Ate breakfast there this morning for our departure meal and have to say I was disappointed. I ordered the Tonga Toast, and it was dry and hardly had any filling. It took us 20 minutes to get change when we...

    Halloween resort refillable mug?

I'm at Pop now. They do not have the Halloween mugs and said they won't be getting any more. I found some at Beach Club this morning. Good luck!

MK FOOD PING - Would you rather....

Since you do have breakfast and dinner plans and your time is limited due to early closing, I would definitely go with quick service. Columbia Harbour House is our go-to quick service at MK - great food and fast service! It's usually not very crowded especially in the upstairs dining room. The...

Most romantic DVC resort during December?

Not DVC, but Swan/Dolphin are beautiful at Christmas and definitely feel more "adult". The poinsettia tree at the Dolphin is amazing. Lots of great dining options there and within walking distance to Boardwalk, Hollywood Studios, and Epcot.

Where's the love for Tales with Belle?

Tales with Belle was truly magical when my daughter was 2. It was one of the highlights of that trip. My (older) parents went with us on that trip and my dad was struggling with all of the walking and heat, but as we were sitting in Tales with Belle he said, "This was worth it." Just to be there...

Animal Kingdom Lodge vs. Wilderness Lodge Please Help Me Decide

Both are wonderful. AKL seems more adult to me in terms of dining options and decor.. whereas WL has Whispering Canyon Cafe and the slide at the pool area. Both are amazing, I think it just depends what you want out of your Disney experience. I'm not saying WL is overrun with kids or anything...

    Tell me about boma

Boma is amazing!! I don't usually like buffets, but it was my favorite restaurant on our last trip. It will definitely be one we go back to! There was plenty to choose from. The soups were amazing, and there were several entrees for the less adventurous. There was also your typical salad bar. I...

Anyone with a recent experience at the Wave?

We ate dinner there (spontaneously with an ADR, btw) in April and it was the best meal we had on the whole trip. The food was amazing, the service was much better than we had at other places, and the environment was relaxing. Definitely recommend!

    Where to relax?

For relaxation, definitely WL! It is an amazing resort with some great restaurant options. That said, with a 3-year-old I may be more inclined to go with Poly. I'm sure you'll spend a lot of time at MK and it's so convenient to hop on the monorail at Poly, especially with a young child. Would be...

Which would you choose AKL CL or Contemporary Garden Wing Garden View

I personally don't like the Contemporary. It feels more like a convention center than a family resort to me. There is a lot to do there though, and it's super convenient to MK. I wouldn't want to do a split stay either, so Contemporary may be a better choice for you. Both resorts have some great...

My WDW trip isn't complete until I eat...

Got back a couple weeks ago and I've added these to my must-do-again list! Banana Bread Bread Pudding @ Tusker House - OMG.. I've got to try to recreate this at home. Soooo good. Salmon @ Boma - I don't even like salmon that much but I loved this. It was nut-crusted and had maybe a honey/curry...

Thinking of changing arrival dinner ADR.. WWYD?

Thanks for the input! (I went to FSU- Go Noles!) We're staying at Art of Animation. We'll have our vehicle, so I figure just driving to one of the resorts won't be too bad. I've been to Maya Grill once and really enjoyed it, but that was probably 12 years ago and I know a lot can change in 12 years!
