On hold with WDW 3 hours & counting!

Yes, I'm talking about VIP tours! I was on hold for over 4 hours to schedule a tour so that I could pay them $500/hour. Craziness!!

On hold with WDW 3 hours & counting!

Waited 4 hours 20 minutes and finally got someone on the line. Of course, didn't give him any grief about the wait, was delighted to speak with him! :)

On hold with WDW 3 hours & counting!

Still on hold at 3 hours 40 minutes... at this point I'll be too shocked to even speak when someone answers. 😆

On hold with WDW 3 hours & counting!

We are heading to WDW and Universal in early February and are planning to do our first-ever VIP tour! Unfortunately, I've been on hold with the VIP line for 3 hours and counting this morning. Any insight into reasons for such a long phone wait times? Just general staffing issues or is there...

Any recent experiences with VIP tour?

Curious how this worked out for you... We are looking at quite a similar itinerary for our VIP tour in a few months. We would cut out some of the MK attractions in favor of the VIP Happily Ever After viewing area.

    *** Official August 2020 thread ***

We recently booked a trip from August 21 - 28. Staying off-site at Marriott Sabal Palms, which will be our first full-time off-site stay in recent years. Also planning a day at Universal and Typhoon Lagoon in addition to the parks. Looking forward to it!! Anyone know when Disney After Hours...

What's your favorite arrival day dinner (outside of parks)?

We'll be flying into Orlando in the afternoon, checking into Marriott Sabal Palms (just outside of WDW gates). We have decided to spend the evening having some pool time and a fun dinner. It will be DH, me, our DD8, DS9, and my in-laws. Our kids are great at restaurants and kind of over...

Ages of your kids for Stroller use?

Our kids were 5 & 7 for our last trip. The 5-year-old definitely needed the stroller. Like others have mentioned, the older kiddo took advantage of a chance to briefly sit down once or twice, but didn't *need* a stroller. Our kids will be 8 & 9 for our next trip and we won't have a stroller...

    Skipping fireworks/night shows

We skip all of them in lieu of more ride time, even HEA. Plus, it's so fun to ride while watching fireworks go off. ;) For some people, the nighttime shows are essential, but for us, riding over and over again after dark is as magical as it gets.

    MK days

We went that week in 2017. The party days at MK were the BEST and a massively noticeable difference between those days and the non-party days. Absolutely worth making that one of your MK days (IMO). With kids those ages, I would do MK until you get kicked out for the party and then plan a...

Epcot and Animal Kingdom in 1 day?

If we attempted this... We would DEFINITELY rope drop. I was planning to save all FP+ for afternoon at AK and FOP would be dependent upon FP+ availability (we have ridden it twice before so do know the time involved!). Would certainly taxi over from Epcot to AK. And Touring Plans says this is...

Epcot and Animal Kingdom in 1 day?

Good thoughts about the August heat being a factor! My husband is from Alabama, where I also lived for a while, but our kids are from Michigan and not used to the Florida heat. ;) I should definitely factor that in! Thanks!

Epcot and Animal Kingdom in 1 day?

Ohhhh.... that's an interesting thought! I haven't done Typhoon Lagoon since I was a teen, and I haven't spent much time really looking into it yet. Our kids are big swimmers and the water park day is the very top on their list of things to do. Even for water park obsessed kids, do you think...

    Best Crowd Calendar?

I don't have nearly as much as trip experience as many of the posters here, but I agree to not get too hung up on crowd calendars. With a good plan, you'll have a fantastic trip. Pick a time that works for your family, though maybe avoiding notoriously crazily busy days. :) I also heard a...

Epcot and Animal Kingdom in 1 day?

Planning a trip for late August 2020... My kids will be 8 & 9 and now want to add at least a day at Universal and a day at Typhoon Lagoon onto our week in Orlando, which is significantly cutting down on our available WDW park time. This has me considering a Epcot and Animal Kingdom park hop...

Tickets and Annual Pass Questions - Please add your ticket questions to this thread

It looks like we'll be doing 4 parks days plus 1 day at Typhoon Lagoon for our upcoming trip. On only 1 day are we planning to park hop. It looks like it's cheaper for us to purchase 5 tickets as opposed to 4-day park hopper? Or can we add park hopper for 1-day only? Any advice or anything...

Tickets and Annual Pass Questions - Please add your ticket questions to this thread

No changes to ticket policies since this was posted? We have a child who will turn 10 on our last park day. Sounds like he'll qualify as a child for our entire (off-site) stay?

No wedding thank you ~ WWYD?

That is 100% how you will come across if you ask them about it. Definitely let it go. They almost certainly got the money and there are no shortage of reasons why you may have not received a thank you yet (or ever). I am a girl with monogrammed stationery who loves to send and receive...

    Rent double or bring single?

We once rented a double and brought a single. A single stroller in a breeze to fly with, as well as store in the corner of your hotel room. We took the double with us for the long days and the single for the shorter park times. We were glad we had both options available to us, especially as...

2 parks in 1 day possible??

Thank you so much for this info and input... very helpful! Follow up question... If we really only have 1 day to dedicate to Universal, would you try to do 2 parks in 1 day, or dedicate the day to focusing on 1 park? (We live in Michigan and seem to go 2-3 years in-between visits to Orlando...
