Tusker House Reopening June 20 | Characters Included

Had a late lunch today! It was amazing!! They kept bringing out anything we wanted including desserts. Great experience!

    Tusker House Reopening and Cost

I am quoting myself, but just checked the menu and the adjusted the kids price to $36 for lunch and dinner. Glad it was a typo!

    Favorite park for preschoolers?

My kids are 7 and 3, but have been to Disney (mostly DL) more than our local mall or park, so they are super acclimated. They don't have a favorite really. My son loves Slinky Dog, but that was his first rollercoaster. He is going to try the big rides for the first time next week (Small World is...

Disney News, Discussion & an Element of Fun!

Just saw a rumor on the Disney Pop Century FB page, that starting June 15th masks will be optional for fully vaccinated guests. No good sources to back this up yet, but the screenshot they had did look like the font and typeface of the Disney site. They said it wasn't posted to the site yet, though.

Just checked the Disneyland app and that one says “Standby” wait too. Probably something is in the works but who knows about timing etc.

I am so not rope dropping next week! I was going to try and be motivated and get out there, but I am definitely not ready for that (and can already hear my DH *****ing about the crowds).

Yeah so I pretty much assumed 'Ohana would open after our trip, and after a look at that menu, not feeling bad about it. No noodles, crappier cuts of meat, and whatever shrimp casserole it?! No thanks!!

Chef Mickey's Dinner, Cape May Cafe (breakfast, dinner) to resume in May; Tusker House opening June 20th

I assume so since that is what the others do for the family platters at dinner! I have lunch reservations opening day. I'll try and report back.

Literally never knew this existed... I think I only ever used a FP for Dumbo, and skipped it entirely the last trip or 2.

    Tusker House Reopening and Cost

Oh I definitely agree about that Disney is charging too much. We’ve actually never done a character meal without Free Dining, so this is the first time paying out of pocket. We saved so much staying offsite, we are using the extra savings and just not worry about paying $200 for lunch. Reviews...

    Tusker House Reopening and Cost

The new menu is pretty much Ohana breakfast before it closed. I really enjoyed the lunch buffet I had a few years ago, but it is not the right time to have a buffet at Disney. Don’t book it if it doesn’t appeal to you. It literally sold out in minutes so there is still demand. I am booked...

    Tusker House Reopening and Cost

It was at or close to that prior to shutdown. It should be all you can eat if it follows the other family platter format. We booked lunch and I don’t plan on eating much (if anything) prior. My DH and my 7 year old eat a lot. We are splurging on dining this trip, though as it is our 10 year...

Disney News, Discussion & an Element of Fun!

WDW has always had crap hours compared to DL. In pre-pandemic times, DL’s summer hours were 8a-12a all summer, DCA was 8/9-10/11p usually.

Disney News, Discussion & an Element of Fun!

I leave in 10 days! I have a feeling I am going to have to unfollow this thread for a bit afterwards because I am going to be salty that I missed so much, but still had the massive crowds. I did predict that Tusker House would reopen on my AK day, though a few weeks back!! One restaurant...

Orange County Fl lifts all Corona viruses restrictions

Oh yeah definitely. My 1st grader has weekly Covid tests at school, has to wear a mask at all times, and have to step outside the classroom to drink water. The extra testing definitely feeds into the lower number. It also does stop the spread of those walking around unknowingly spreading it...

Orange County Fl lifts all Corona viruses restrictions

So high to me anyway! I live in Los Angeles county and we are at .8%. We were at total lockdown at 5%. Testing seems harder to find in FL, though (we are testing my 7 yo when we visit WDW in a few weeks as a precaution as we are visiting my grandparents in FL after Disney). It is way harder to...

Disney News, Discussion & an Element of Fun!

Just switched around my days! Wanted a second AK day, but didn’t want to risk having nothing by giving away our backup HS day. Just worried this whole trip is going to be a (literal) hot mess.

Tusker House Reopening June 20 | Characters Included

Missed out on breakfast, but grabbed lunch opening day. Anyone else notice they have kids listed at $42?!? Hoping that is a mistake as all other lunch/dinner character meals are $36 for kids. The breakfast price lines up at $27 but not lunch/dinner.
