Desperately searching for the little lucky owls from Epcot Japan - any ideas?

First, I’m so sorry for your loss. These owls actually hold a special place in our hearts as well, so hopefully I can help bring back some semblance of a connection to your husband: My wife and I were having fertility issues so we bought the red one (“good health for children”) during a...

*The Official VILLAS AT DISNEY'S GRAND FLORIDIAN RESORT & SPA Owners & Lovers Group*

I just got the e-mail about the walkway as well. For reference, our check-in day is June 5th. Was hoping it’d be wrapped up by then, but the reports of Nov/Dec arrivals receiving it too aren’t encouraging..

    2023 Annual Dues Question

I had the exact same question when I noticed that my VGF amounts were not equaling 400 x 7.3332 (surprisingly less), but if you click on the "View Statement" button in the Dues Overview screen, it shows you the exact breakdown, including how any variances are calculated. These then become...

Does Jasmine meet with Aladdin in MK (not during Christmas party)?

When I was there in Sep, both Jasmine and Aladdin were together in Adventureland sporadically throughout the day. I know this because my nephew left his autograph book on the plane, but luckily my wife and I stayed a couple extra days, so we scrambled to get every autograph he had to replace...

Resort Options for First Time Parents

Thanks for the additional tips. Yea, we finalized on VGF: my brother's family likes being on the monorail and since it's our home resort, we are the most familiar/comfortable with it. Definitely won't do a split stay, but I'm sure we'll have another opportunity for an EP resort in the future...

*The Official VILLAS AT DISNEY'S GRAND FLORIDIAN RESORT & SPA Owners & Lovers Group*

I’ve stayed at both: Resort in July and Deluxe in Sep Positives of resort: nicer decor/theming; closer to Gasparilla, MK walkway, and boat dock One major negative: the noise. We heard just about every toilet flushing in the vicinity. Positives of deluxe: kitchenette; Murphy bed allows for...

Resort Options for First Time Parents

Seriously, this place is the best. So many little details I would have never thought of had I not asked, so thank you everyone! I think I’m leaning staying at VGF, mostly b/c I’m thinking 10 nights at Disney with a six month old might be overkill; and it would be fun to treat and stay with my...

Resort Options for First Time Parents

Hi Everyone, My wife and I will be in WDW in June with our extended family on my side (it's our last time together before the oldest nephew goes away to college). The wrinkle here is that we will (hopefully) be going with a six month old ourselves. We currently have two reservations: a deluxe...

Grand Floridian Resort Studio Lagoon View

Wife and I stayed in a resort studio - lake view back in August (see post HERE with pictures). Was on the 4th floor (9429). Room had vaulted ceilings, which was really nice. As mentioned in my post, we were able to see Harmonious fireworks from our balcony as well. Overall, it was a great...

Riviera Parking, Tower Room Requests, Food, and Run Disney-HELP!!

Stayed in a tower studio back in May - perfect room for couples or a party of three (one little one). Tower studios ending in 9 have a more direct view of DHS/the skyliner; rooms ending in 1 have a straight on view (EP to your right and DHS to your left); and rooms ending in 3 have a more...

*The Official VILLAS AT DISNEY'S GRAND FLORIDIAN RESORT & SPA Owners & Lovers Group*

We did not eat anything substantial in the room (unless you consider Gideon's cookies substantial.. 😋). That said, it was painfully obvious how difficult/odd it would be to eat a full meal in these rooms (unless you are by yourself).. The small round table doesn't really work with the couch...

*The Official VILLAS AT DISNEY'S GRAND FLORIDIAN RESORT & SPA Owners & Lovers Group*

No - the big round mirror in all the show rooms was not in our room. I was surprised by this, and I suppose it could come eventually, but that seems like an odd thing to add so far passed the re-opening of the building. The only other mirror outside of the bathroom was the full length one...

*The Official VILLAS AT DISNEY'S GRAND FLORIDIAN RESORT & SPA Owners & Lovers Group*

Wife and I spent the last week in July at the VGF2 for an anniversary stay (6 nights; lagoon view: 9429). Loved the vaulted ceilings, and the lake view: was pleasantly surprised that we were actually able to see Harmonious fireworks from the balcony! I’m not sure how many of these rooms can...

    Grand Floridian Walkway between Poly

Was just at VGF last week. The walkway is definitely still open and accessible, so no worries there. Another option if you don’t want to bother would be to simply have VGF bell services transfer your bags for you. They did this for us when we had a Topolino’s reservation on our departure day...

    Moonlight Magic AK

Oh I understand how frustrating it can be. I’m just explaining the rationale for some that book the max then figure out their guests later (even if they aren’t used). How often is this being done? No way to know for sure, but I’m sure it happens. As others have mentioned, DVC probably wants...

    Moonlight Magic AK

I don't have first hand experience, but my guess is that is goes off of the event registration number, not the hotel registration. Otherwise, there wouldn't be a need to enter the amount - it could automatically generate the number based on your hotel reservation. It's why some members simply...

    BCV/BWV

Have you thought about RIV? It doesn’t have the walkability as BCV/BWV do, but the skyliner is a close alternative and very convenient for Epcot. It also solves your 2042 issue. I’m assuming you’re going resale (since you’d only be using them at RIV anyway since you have MK points elsewhere)...

    MM and Disney Transportation

Absolutely - as others have stated. AK is the only park that buses are your only Disney provided transportation option, so you can bet there will be plenty available and running; prob up to at least an hour after the event ends.

No July 26 Moonlight Magic at DAK for Us

In your scenario, you can coordinate with somewhere on the boards that missed out; you can pull a random person in off the street; or you can do nothing and have the event be less crowded by one person. But as mentioned, your entire party needs to be together to check-in. I suppose you can...

No July 26 Moonlight Magic at DAK for Us

Yep, this basically explains it. The only name on the reservation is the member who made it. Everyone else is considered a guest (you don’t need to name anyone). But yes, your entire party needs to check-in together.
