    MCO Hyatt Luggage Retrieval

I've used this service twice now. Each time I just showed the bellman a picture of what my luggage looked like and 20 minutes later it was dropped off in my room.

When during cruise do you buy placeholder?

I usually do ours on night before we return.

Disney Fantasy 5544 - Extended verandah - what a difference!

How much to tip for Palo dinner/Remy brunch?

For Remy, I usually tip 20%. This last trip we did get the clarification that the tip was included for my wine tasting, but there was no auto-gratuity for the meal itself.

    Reasons you like second dining

For us it that 2nd seating is closer to when we eat dinner anyway. I also feel more relaxed and less rushed than when we had main dining.

New MCO Hyatt policy for DCL luggage transfer?

This was our experience as well, the clerk mentioned it was a very recent change as in 1 week before our cruise. What I was able to do is use thier bell service to take our luggage down with us and he dropped it off at the truck going to the ship. Best 10 bucks I spent on this trip :)

    Remy on the Dream

I thought that the wine paring was $105, at least that's what it's listed at on the website (https://disneycruise.disney.go.com/onboard-activities/remy-restaurant/). I'll have to look at my charges from the last cruise we took and see what we paid. Also they are not joking about enforcing the...

Please share your PAT experiences - not sure which time to choose

Yup, 11:30-Noon would be fine. I've found that the lines aren't that bad at MCO, We've been able to saunter down from our room and pretty much gt right on board a bus to the Port.

Palo or Remy - is it a must?

I would say that it's a matter of personal preference, I would say if you like the food at Palo, it's worth it no matter the length of cruise. For us we like booking Remy as a date night. Is it a must for us, not really, but we like the time alone together and the food. FWIW we've done that...

Airfare - through DCL or on my own

For what it's worth, I have always been able to get better prices that DCL for my airfare. In fact for the prices that DCL was offering I was able to get 1st class from IAD (Dulles, VA) to MCO on my own. Standard economy seats would have been a little over half the cost of DCL.

    Remy dessert?

I've done it on our two most recent cruises on the Fantasy. It's well worth it in my opinion.

    NO PAT ?

That has been my experience for the past 2 cruises we've taken. I think we were 2 the first time at 4 the second time.

    Extended verandahs & fumes

We enjoyed it. Had a great view of CC when we backed in. It's also nice that the veranda was mostly covered and had a nice recliner on it. The only issue that we had were the vibration (this was pre-dry dock) and when they fired the thrusters up you could *definitely* hear and feel those...

    Extended verandahs & fumes

When we stayed in 8684 on the Fantasy the only issue we had was with soot, never noticed and fumes. Our housekeeper did a really good job of getting it cleaned in the morning for us.

    Any discounts on Hyatt MCO?

I booked directly with Hyatt for Jun 2018 at $234 for the night, including taxes. This was for a room with 2 queen beds.

Boarding Number w/ Disney Transfer and no PAT

In the cruises that we've taken using DCL Transfers we've gotten boarding numbers from 2 to 6. That is with us getting to MCO the night before and usually taking the first bus out

Restaurants at the Orlando International airport

Add another recommendation for McCoys. It's our go-to for dinner the night before and breakfast the day of our cruise.

Genuinely curious about wanting a private table

For Us, it falls in that I'm a rather strong introvert, and I absolutely dislike, what I perceive as, forced social interaction. I can deal with it if necessary, but its not my cup of tea and I can get stressed/anxious in those situations. SInce I'm on vacation I rather keep those times to a...

Anyone else not very big on the "parties"?

This is my fallback area. I usually go to Deck 13, on the starboard side by Currents is. I usually get there early enough to get a seat and a scotch or two (or 3, hey it's vacation who's counting)
