Not saying it has to stay free. But has to be more creative than $200/day express pass. I will say I do think Genie will have something to do with it. Say pay to ask for what you want to do in a day... this includes fastpass as needed. Something like that.

Agree... no way. This would be a total downgrade. Even when not booking FP+ til day of I’ve always been able to get what I wanted... for free. It’d be a quick way to have my husband (the Disney skeptic) axe all further Disney vacations. (We are typically 1-2 weeks a year.)

Maybe a general public discount coming too? I can’t believe they are charging full price. Pop for $200/night. I have a hard time believing that if they actually want to fill any additional rooms they are doing it at that price.

Also I think the 3 day limit is more about pass holders booking the days just in case vs a planned trip which would cost disney $$$$$ when they don’t show up. I’m just saying that it’s nice for some people. It was enough for me to buy an AP when they had 35% off a year and a half ago so the discount is pretty nice. We stay at deluxe if we stay on property though. Otherwise I’d rather just stay at a Quality Inn for 100s (Or 1000s) less.

Also looks like they put out a resort discount for pass holders up to 40% off which is the best it’s been in YEARS. So that’s pretty nice. Also would give them the chance to book more resort stays.
