    Hoop De Doo Revue

Nope, not too cheesy at all. Years ago I brought a group of 18 people ranging from ages 5 to grandparents. Today those 5 year olds have graduated college and everyone still talks about it. They loved the interaction, the silly comedy, and the food.

Cruise and Theme Park Operational Updates due to Coronavirus

Disney's reach goes a lot deeper than that.

Anyone from the NY area fly out of Westchester Airport?

I've flown from there a couple of times. The airport is small and easy to navigate. Don't expect a lot of dining options, it a pretty no-frills operation. Parking is a different story. It's a small garage and currently costs $30.00 per day. The website says they have an overflow lot with a...

Really great job, they look amazing and would be really useful info for a WDW newbie.

SWAT team called to Disney, person of suspicion

I have several friends and family who are LEO's. I absolutely think they deserve all the respect we can give them and I'm thankful for the work they do. Trust me, I'm the farthest thing from a cop hater you'll ever meet. I can appreciate your viewpoint but I just think about the officers time...

SWAT team called to Disney, person of suspicion

I happen to agree with you. I'd never carry in locations like that. In fact, I usually let my guard down more in Disney than I do at any other time, probably a bad idea, but that's how I feel. That doesn't change the fact that if someone did have a gun (no evidence of that), it's quite possible...

    Pipe burst at Contemporary

You're local area is more forward thinking than most areas. Some places are still using wooden water mains. NY Times article from 2009

SWAT team called to Disney, person of suspicion

According to news sources "someone thought a man had a gun under his jacket". Insane over reaction by law enforcement.

    Ticket upgrade question

That's a really interesting idea. If it turns out the tickets can't be upgraded I'll look into that option.

    Ticket upgrade question

They don't have the physical media yet so I don't know what if there are any restrictions printed on them. They have been added to MDE already.

    Ticket upgrade question

I didn't want to be the guy to start another ticket thread, but here I am. I read the sticky and didn't see my particular situation addressed there. My son and his girlfriend were gifted 2 day park hoppers purchased by someone employed by a Disney owned company using their employee discount. The...

What is the timeline for getting Global Entry?

I was conditionally approved in about a week, The interview took about 5 months for our local airport (Hartford, They're currently showing the first available appointment at that location is July 31st). I got the email that I was approved before I left the parking lot.

    Turtle Talk with Crush

When my son was younger Crush picked him "the little dude in the orange shell" to ask a question. He got a bit overwhelmed and blurted out "when are you going to die". Crush got a shocked look on his face and clarified - "Duuude, are you asking how long sea turtles live. I hope that's what...

    Jetblue Prices???

I'm a diehard Southwest flyer (Currently have over 100,000 points waiting to be spent) but on my most recent trip to MCO from BDL I got a round trip on Jetblue for less than a one-way on Southwest. Both fares were non-stop so it was an apples to apples comparison. Jetblue had really convenient...

    TSA PreCheck

I'm not sure this is true. On my most recent trip (3 weeks ago) I printed my boarding pass about 12 hours before my flight and saw that I didn't get TSA Pre. I figured it was just the luck of the draw. Inconvenient but not the end of the world. I had to call the airline with a question unrelated...

    TSA PreCheck

TSA Pre isn't guaranteed. Even though you have enrolled in the program there is a chance that you'll be sent for regular screening.

    Getting to the convention center

I just checked both apps (Uber, Lyft) and both have options to select your pickup location within the All Star resorts. Lyft actually has drop downs to choose your building, and both services offer the ability to drop a pin at your preferred pickup spot.

OMG! Would you cancel convertible car rental because of the Love Bug invasion?!!

No reason to cancel. I'm also from CT and drove my Mustang convertible as a daily driver for years, although now it's been retired to summertime toy status. Rain, snow, heat, cold, wind, whatever. Once the top is up it's no different than anything else you'd be driving. If it's too hot put the...
