How far out did you look at AA fares? From what I've found when using AA on points, you have to book very early or else the points cost is crazy, or the connections are ridiculous.

There's a good chance that the CSR PYB back benefit for grocery stores at 1.25 redemption rate is going away on 4/1. This is due to the other categories showing as being extended through 6/30 on the CSR page, but grocery shows ending on 3/31.

I received a similar message when I SM'd for the match after meeting the MSR. It said it would take up to 5 biz days for the other dept to respond, which I think it took 4-5 days. After that dept responded, I received the points match shortly after, maybe even instantly. I think the 6-8 weeks...
