***Official DLR October 2021 Check-in Thread***

Tentatively October 25-30 - booked hotel a while ago, but am waiting to get plane tickets, or DL park hoppers. Also hoping something comes out soon re: Halloween as I'll be there during peak time for locals to visit for Halloween! Just me. Will need to reschedule, will re-post if it ends up in...

Desert Inn Family Suite Memorial Day cancellation

Hi - Not sure if it will help anyone, but I just cancelled a family suite at Desert Inn for Memorial Day weekend. Looks I may not get back until 2019, too many other things happening!

Keto / low carb diet at Disneyland?

I have to admit I did not completely stick to my keto diet when there, but here are a few of the things I did: Hungry Bear (DL): Cheeseburger, no sauce, no bun, no side (used fork and knife) - not that good, but we were there and hungry Studio Catering (DCA): Street tacos, ate the filling out...

Tomorrowland Skyline Lounge - any recent experiences/app question

Not much more recent, but in October, and it was much the same. Jenga, connect 4, light sabers, good desserts/snacks, lots of beverages, Mickey and Minnie came around and we got pictures. Mickey and Minnie played a giant version of Jenga with a few of the kids, which was adorable to watch.

Ideas for special thing to do at DL for my senior mom who has never been to Disneyland?

I know I'm in the minority here, but I think you should also consider the Skyline Lounge experience (if it's still available then). Of course, how fun it is will depend on whether or not there are fireworks! The 9, 11, and 13 year old will have some room to get any leftover energy out as it's...

    Two new park developments

As a solo traveler, I've been seated in the back row, with the resulting soggy bottom (and not in the way Mary Berry means). However, that was over a year ago, maybe it's changed since then.

    Cafe Orleans Menu Changes

The seasonal soup when we were there was both the gumbo and another "seasonal" soup. I was really hoping the other soup would be French onion when we were there, but it wasn't - since we didn't order it, I don't recall what it was.

2017 DISNEYLAND RESORT HALLOWEEN TIME / MICKEY'S HALLOWEEN PARTY THREAD!

On Sunday we were in the tomorrow land lounge and while there were some nice things about it, and we certainly could see the fireworks, we realized we missed out on a LOT by not being on main street - we had no idea why sometimes there was fire here or there as we couldn't see anything...

Hot! How to keep cool ...

We've been using cooling towels, and keeping hydrated, and over visiting the various shops. We also came back to the hotel around 1:30, when it was 102 already; at one point it was 107! Heading back out early evening today closer to sun set, when it should go down some, and trying to...

Hot! How to keep cool ...

So far I've gotten some cooling towels; I was able to rearrange some ADRs; and I bought some Eddie Bauer FreeDry moisture wicking shirts (love living by an outlet!). I have nothing scheduled/planned for Monday, as that currently looks to be the worst day and I think it might be better to be...

Hot! How to keep cool ...

You are all fantastic! Thanks so much for all the advice and help. I am thinking of personal fans and cooling towels, breaks, seeing if I can make a few more lunch reservation, and lots of water! Most electrolyte drinks make me queasy, but I'll go that route if I have to.

Hot! How to keep cool ...

Thanks everyone, I know I may be over reacting, but I hate being hot, and my DD has body temperature regulation issues that can leave her easily exhausted ... so it being so hot while we're there is making me a little grumpy/paranoid/concerned/panicked.

Hot! How to keep cool ...

As I'll be going with my daughter, who doesn't like Frozen, I don't think that that will be an option (not even for sitting in a/c for a while). Now if they still had Aladdin, I'd plan on seeing that every afternoon - loved that show (and that the Genie would ad lib jokes so no two shows were...

Hot! How to keep cool ...

One of the reasons I like going in the late fall is to try to beat the heat. Unfortunately, no matter what program I look at, it's going to be HOT next week while I'm there - arrive mid-afternoon Saturday, then leave early Friday. Hoped to be at the parks late afternoon Saturday... Hades will...

    Is Rey in the parks?

Just checking to see if this is still true - no Rey? Even with the new film coming out so soon?
