***Official*** Pandora: The World of Avatar Information Thread

Might be an odd question, and haven't been able to search out an answer, but does anyone know what type of soap they use in the bathrooms in Pandora? My wife loved whatever they've been using in there and swears it's different than the other bathrooms at Disney World. Assuming it's a certain...

"Official" 2018 Disney After Hours (DAH) Thread (Now Closed, see New 2019 Thread)

Right. Peoplemover stopped on us for about 3 minutes during a normal day ride last week, but that could have been a loading/unloading issue and not mechanical. We still "risked" Pirates on the 26th DAH and it was fine. Gotta live dangerously!

People Mover broke down multiple times during my trip last week. I'd see it stopped a lot and once there was an evac that we knew of. Pirates was also closed for a while one day we were there last week. With rides running non stop for so long there are bound to be breakdowns, so not really a...

For our final Peter Pan rides there was nobody in line, but we hopped off thinking we needed to get to 7 Dwarfs, but then we decided to go again, but just went through the "line" again real quick. I'm sure we could have just stayed on if we'd asked.

Here is what we were able to do on the 1/26 DAH night in order. Note, we were 3 adults and we did not have normal park tickets for the day, but I had set up some Fast Passes in the hopes that we'd get in early, which we did, but we got in closer to 6:30PM so missed one of them: Pre-event start...

    Drawing (animation) class for free?

Yes, as has been said before; it's called Animation Academy. We did it last year at the Festivals of the Arts and was pretty much just like it was at HS (though the tables weren't as "artistic"). We went 2 different days and drew Woody both times. We will definitely be going next week to do it...

Festival of the Arts - Various Artists Signings

I messaged Joey Chou back in November and he confirmed that he would be there and signing his art. Said they were only letting them sell Disney inspired art this year and not personal stuff.

I'm going 1/26, so I expect to see some reports on here from you 1/19ers about what time they let you start going in. I'll be staring at this thread on 1/19. :surfweb:

What are your strategies for DAH? Going to do the attractions with typically high wait times a lot? Going to go for rides with quick ride times to get as many rides as possible in the 3 hours? Going to try to do all open attractions in the 3 hours? Going to take it easy and play it by ear?

Our plan for DAH on the 26th (we don't have park tickets that day). Sleep in a little. Breakfast at Kona Cafe. Go to Disney Springs to do a little shopping and eat lunch. Resort hop or relax at our resort until around 3. Get to MK around 4 to see if they'll let us in yet (I did make some FP's...

We got our tickets for 1/26 last night and I made 3 fast passes between 5 and 8 anticipating getting in early (crossing fingers).

I would show up at 4, and if they're not letting people in I'd do some resort hopping on the monorail line until they start letting people in.

    EPCOT Festival of the Arts-reviews

I liked it. We went in Feb and got some art from Joey Chou and tried some of the food. I liked the paint by numbers mural and the different photo spots. Another big plus for us was the return of the Animation Academy. We're going again in Jan and I'm hoping that's all returning along with more.

    Just back 8/19 - 8/25......park observations/tips/thoughts

Sounds like a fun trip. Can't wait for ours in January! I could be wrong, but isn't the FoP preshow stuff done while others are on the ride? So, not really extending the wait time. It's just informing people on what's going to happen and giving you something to watch while the people ahead of...

Tour Beast's Castle without eating there?

I assumed that they just didn't know it was called the West Wing. Who would think the Rose Gallery was impressive? But then, they also thought the food was just a little better than a HS cafeteria, so I have no idea. My food's always been spectacular there. I've just had dinner though, so I dunno.

    ***Official Jan 2018 Thread****

Even in Jan, lines can get long. If you're only doing 1 Epcot day, I'd suggest rope dropping one of the big rides, fast passing another then waiting for the 3rd. I'm no expert at which has the longest line, but Frozen seems kind of out of the way from the other 2 so we fast passed it on our last...
