Another thing to consider is the potential discounts that can or can not come with packages. Splitting the stay may make it harder. So, this far out- it is good to plan what you want to do but also be open to consolidating hotels if there's free dining or whatever

Yes, I also "saved" by getting a rack rate a long time ago. Not so happy or sure what to do. Have the ressie with a TA and wish that I had control over the reservation so that if I needed to cancel, I didn't feel guilty.

I bet the discounts will drop soon. I was checking out the first week of December and it says no availability almost anywhere. Made me think that they don't want folks to book at "today's rate" so they can base the discount on a higher rate.

Yes, I have a package but no discount at all. Rack rate, tickets and dining plan. Keeping last night means keeping dining plan for 4 as well as the room. That's a lot of money if you're not going to spend the night in the room.
