At Christmas (December 23-27) we got a great deal through a TA for Boardwalk: exactly $300/night (before tax). It was too good to pass up. Then moved over to POFQ for two nights and paid more ($303/night before tax) with no discount.

Update: didn’t have a chance to walk around today before leaving but there was definitely some work being done very close by. Woke up to the sound of power tools! We were in room 4222.

Lots of issues with all of this but this really stuck out to me. I don't think you'll be getting a room in the tower for under $200/night, and you can't get a room anywhere on property for $75.
