    Possible MagicBand requirement. (RUMOR)

Call me cynical, but if Disney thinks they can make more money off requiring Magic Bands, they will do it.

    Email from Iger

He thanked everyone and recognized Disney fans. That's good. But did you notice he didn't say much about "we hear you, and we're reversing the recent changes" or anything like that? Remember Iger was the Chairman of the Board. Until they fired him, the board approved what Chapek was doing...

Since Bob Iger Hand Picked Bob Chapek, Will His Next Pick Be Any Better?

Agreed! Iger and the board all need to go. FWIW, I first noticed negative changes in the parks BEFORE Chapek became CEO.

Disney's ride down time higher then it's ever been

The correlation is that you are paying more and getting less in return. To many people, Disney can do no wrong. Even when they are wrong, they will defend them. I call it "The Cult of Disney." Until folks vote with their wallet, Disney isn't going to care. In 2018, my family and I had a...

Magical Express is back to remove Chapek from Disney Property :)

I agree. Chapek didn't make these decisions on his own. The BoD, of which Iger is Chairman, approved of what Chapek did, either by their silence or by their approval. They need to do more than get rid of Chapek and the other two executives.

WDW updates Genie+ guidance, average of 2-3 rides per day

Disney has been getting horrible ratings for years on the trip advisor type websites. I remember reading them back before our last trip in 2018. IMHO, Disney seems to be only concerned about getting the folks who have never been to Disney before, and not the repeat customers. Management...

WDW updates Genie+ guidance, average of 2-3 rides per day

IMHO, 2-3 rides a day would be fine if DIsney is charging $20 per ticket to enter the park. However, since the price per ticket is substantially more, 2-3 rides for what you pay would be an absolute rip off in my book. I've actually heard people complain that they spent all this money on...

    What is going on?

FWIW, Disney was going downhill well before Covid happened. I really noticed it during our last trip (2018). If anything, Covid has caused more people to see the problems. Disney will have to change A LOT before I spend my hard-earned money in the parks again.

What will Disney let you pay for next?

I agree, and that's the problem. Disney won't change until people vote with their feet and stop going.

What will Disney let you pay for next?

I got beaten up pretty badly on this board for suggesting that folks buy a cheaper and higher capacity fuel rod-type battery pack before they leave home. The consensus was that because it was Disney, it was the best thing in the world. IMHO, that's exactly the kind of attitude that folks need...

    Temp Checks

FWIW, when I had Covid (at least what I believe was Covid - I had all the symptoms, including some less common ones) my temperature never went over 99.6. I was never tested because I didn't meet the high fever criteria in order to be tested. And, people's normal body temperature can vary...

Points of Interest between Orlando and Atlanta?

There's the Museum of Aviation in Warner Robins. Although its further off I-75, the National POW Museum and Andersonville National Historic Site are a good visit.

    EPCOT to become “more Disney”

That is a really good idea! I could even see adults with a sweet tooth participating. On our last trip, right before we left Epcot, my daughter wanted to fill out her passport with all the countries in the World Showcase. We had already visited all the countries, but she didn't have her...

    EPCOT to become “more Disney”

FWIW, we made our first family trip in Feb/March 2016. My daughter was 8 at the time and we were worried that she would be bored in Epcot. However, she loved it and was very interested in everything we saw and did, including the World Showcase. I was actually surprised at how much she liked it.

    EPCOT to become “more Disney”

FWIW, I'd hate to see the Three Caballeros get replaced. It has always been a special ride for my kids and I, and I have a lot of fond memories of it. Epcot is my favorite park because it doesn't have the look and feel of Magic Kingdom. Its the Un-Disney park, and I hope it stays that way...

I'm not used to humidity. Can I still enjoy June?

FWIW, I've lived in the South for over 40 years now, and I've still not gotten used to the humidity. It can be brutal, and I quickly get soaked to the skin. What I've found that helps me the most is to constantly hydrate. I'll wear a camelback when I'm working outside, doing yard work, etc...

Disneyland ending AP program as we know it

Sadly, that's the way that all American businesses seem to have gone. More focus on getting new customers than keeping existing customers happy. I see it every day, and it drives me nuts. FWIW, if you go to other non-Disney boards, you'll find a lot of Disney bashing going on. Disney may get...

What now defunct product do you wish would comeback?

    O'Grady's Au Gratin potato chips.

Has anyone ever mispronounced your name?

Same here. If I had a dollar for every time someone mispronounced my last name, I would be staying at the Grand Floridian our next WDW trip. :)

Does your family use different words for things?

My Dad used to call his remotes a "chicka". He had one when I was young that made a "chicka" clicking sound when you used it to change channels, so the name stuck. We drink Pepsi soft drinks, and when my daughter was little, she couldn't say "Pepsi", she pronounced it "Peppy." So, we call...
