Tampa airport instead of MCO, super cheap flights

Big fan of flying into Tampa here. Drive is maybe 40-50 minutes longer than MCO depending on where you're staying. We fly into Tampa next week and saved about $800 for the five of us on flights and another $200 on our rental car. No brainer! We fly non-stop, and only on Delta.

The we loooooove Club Wyndham Bonnet Creek Part 4

Question for WBCers. Our first and only stay at WBC was almost 5 years ago. We're now just 10 days out from a return visit and I started thinking about making a room request on check-in. Our first trip we had a Tower 6 room about midway up with a nice view towards Hollywood Studios. Is there a...

The we loooooove Club Wyndham Bonnet Creek Part 4

Is there a sweet spot for booking at WBC through third parties like Vacation Strategy? We're looking at a mid-February stay and I'd like to pull the trigger sometime between now and December. Obviously, I'd like to get the best rate possible but not at the risk of availability for our dates...

Walt Disney World SWAN, DOLPHIN & SWAN RESERVE RESORTS Information & Questions

Anyone at the Swan or Dolphin now able to provide a report on how disruptive the maintenance work is around the pool area? We're heading down in less than two weeks for an adult trip and hoping to get a little pool time in (though apparently only at the Swan or Grotto pool). TIA!

The we loooooove Club Wyndham Bonnet Creek Part 4

Looking to rent directly through Wyndham. You can book February 1 and then the last few days of the month but that's it.

The we loooooove Club Wyndham Bonnet Creek Part 4

It looks like you can now book rooms for the first part of 2020 at WBC directly through their website. We're looking at a mid-February trip and, of course, most of February is entirely blocked out from booking. Any insight on the board as to why that would be? We've stayed there before using...

Anyone else’s plans and fast passes gone this AM?

Same thing happened to me this morning. I only saw my ADRs. I closed and re-opened the Android app and all my fast passes were there again.

    Why only 7 days FP+ for AP's?

I was just reminded of these rules while setting FPs for an upcoming offsite stay. I'm travelling with a party where everyone holds an 8-day park hopper and I have an AP (for discounts, parking, etc). I reached our last day of FP reservations and sure enough, I could not add myself to the...

    ***April 2019***

After months of meticulous planning while carefully considering factors such as fast pass availability for off-site guests, extra magic hours, day of week, travelling party age and composition, preferred schedule density, probability of success rate for arriving in time for rope drop on multiple...

Rider swap near park closing time

Thanks all for the responses (and to the mod who initially moved this post). The internal rider swap sounds like a nice time saver for the rest of the party when the lines are reasonable for a baby to wait in.

Rider swap near park closing time

We are a party of 7 staying offsite in April so the Big 3 fast passes are of course not available at 30 days out. We will only be rope dropping Magic Kingdom so our plan to ride Slinky Dog and Flight of Passage is to either: A) Get lucky refreshing MDE OR more likely.. B) Use standby line...

    ***April 2019***

This will be our third visit during Flower & Garden. We find ourselves back at Epcot on multiple evenings because with so many food options it's easy to have a strolling dinner that's a) cheaper than most table service b) better food than most standard QS) and c) has something for everyone.

Best advice for avoiding rope drop madness at Hollywood Studios?

We're heading down in April and staying offsite. This is our first trip with our 14 month old so our preference is to avoid too many rope drop mornings. With no chance for a FP for Slinky Dog, we're trying the afternoon arrival strategy for our single planned day at Hollywood Studios. This was...

    ****Official May 2019 thread****

It is bittersweet to announce that I'll no longer be participating in the May 2019 Happy Dance thread. It is true. Due to a significant conflicting event for each of my older kids in early May we moved our trip to the beginning of April to coincide with their Spring Break. Fortunately, it...

March, April, or May? Best mix of weather and manageable crowds?

We're doing early May because we want warm mornings, warm evenings but not stifling as we're travelling with a baby for the first time (15 months) and we also want low crowds. Hot temps in the afternoon are no problem as we always have pool breaks built in. Judging by Disney's new date-based...

    How to do Disney off-site?

Off-siter here for 4 of 5 trips to Disney within the last few years. We rent a house that, traffic depending, is less than 10 minutes to the main WDW entrance from the front door. We rent from the same individual each trip who happens to live nearby so there's very little uncertainty when it...

COSTCO Vacation package with WDW ticket, can it be upgraded?

Interesting. We're in this boat for next year. Looking to do a family trip in May on the front end of an annual pass. We would then do an adults trip to Food & Wine and stay at the Swan or Dolphin in October. I've been wondering if I booked the Swan & Dolphin next spring, could I use &...

    ****Official May 2019 thread****

When we booked for May 2019 back in January that was as far out as we've ever really booked so initially our planning timeline seemed so far away. Not so much anymore! We have three staples on every trip: Via Napoli, Sanaa, and at least one evening strolling World Showcase and grabbing random...

    ****Official May 2019 thread****

Just a friendly PSA for those going in May 2019. Less than 90 days until ADRs start opening. Better get planning!

How old is too old for a stroller for WDW?

Great thread. We're going back next May after a two year hiatus. The kids' ages will be 15m, 6y10m, and 8y11m. We've always used a double stroller but man after taking the baby for a few walks in the single I couldn't help but imagine how 'deluxe' it must feel to NOT manage a double in the...
