tell me about going to Disney solo

have you done it? 5 times! pro's? You can get through the parks pretty quickly. You do what you want when you want. You can change plans in a moments notice without having to run it by someone else. You don't have to compromise or do something you'd prefer not to. Want to sleep in? Want to...

Eat to the Beat Concert Series

This was very helpful, thank you! I am going for Hanson and I know they definitely have die hard fans. Our dinner reservation is at 5:30 for the 8:00 show so I figured we would line up after dinner and watch the 2nd show from the line.

Eat to the Beat Concert Series

I would love to hear a little more about the Eat to the Beat Concert Series. I found little information on the Disney website and online other than who is playing and at what times. I guess my main question is around seating and expectations around arrival time. I have never attended a...

    Is Disney fun solo?

Ultimately it all comes down to your personality. If you are not someone who enjoys alone time you may not enjoy it. That being said I love both! I especially love my solo trips. There is so much freedom going by yourself. You can be completely selfish and only do the rides you want, the...

Planning First Solo Trip - Please Help!!

First of all congrats on your first solo trip! It is so much fun!! I can't speak much about your other items but this one I definitely can! I have done value, moderate and deluxe. My most recent trip in November I stayed at POR and it was absolutely beautiful. I highly recommend going...

Second Day at Epcot vs Hollywood Studios

I agree, since you won't have the hopper I would do Epcot. That way you can take your time going through World Showcase. Definitely worth it!

Want to go solo...but nobody will let me!

Do what I do, book it and wait a while before telling anyone. When someone says they want to come with I just tell them next time! I have been going twice a year for that very reason. First one of the year is always a solo trip and the second one is usually with my mom.

    Live music!

I will be heading to Disney on a solo trip in May. I am looking for some suggestions on places to see some good live music. I am relying on resort transportation. Any and all suggestions are appreciated!

Wilderness Lodge - Bus or Boat

This May will be the first time I'm staying at a resort that offers boat transportation to the parks. From your experience which do you prefer boat or bus? How are the crowds? How often do the boats arrive/depart the resort? Any information/opinions are appreciated!

    Solo trip being lonely?

I had the same concerns before my first solo trip to Disney. I too enjoy my alone time but didn't know if it would be TOO much alone time. Not once did I feel lonely or regret my decision! I am going again for my second solo trip in May. There is so much to do, you are just too busy having...

    Another CBR / CSR Question

I can't speak to the construction but definitely reccomend CSR for adults with no children. Also, it was the best experience I had with transportation to and from the parks. I never had to wait more than 10 minutes. The buses were never crowded and I was always able to get a seat which was...

    Mousekeeping

Rule of thumb is usually $1 per day per person. For a family of 4, $5 per day. It all really depends on what you would like to do. I travel solo and will leave $2-$3 per day. I usually will do $3 if I have a specific request or for my last day since they will have much more cleaning to do. I...
