    Updated Blue Bayou Menus!!!

Yay! So glad they have the prime rib and MC at the same meal time now.

    Blue Bayou Lunch Menu?

I really wish they’d serve the MC at night too. There’s a steak on the dinner menu that my husband likes, and I like the MC. It’s rich for sure, but I can usually pass a few bites off to my family

    Blue Bayou res. for 8?

Same, my family of 6 has been able to sit waterside a couple times but I’ve never seen larger tables there. My kids want to eat there on our next visit, so I’ve been obsessively stalking the 23rd…

Genie Plus - Experiences and Reviews

Thank you for this! Looks like it’s mostly been more expensive on weekdays for some reason. We’ll be going this weekends, so probably not even an issue.

Genie Plus - Experiences and Reviews

Not sure if it was because I was in London yesterday or what, but it was showing the price as $30, then it dropped later to $25. Doesn’t look like I can add ahead of time, so I’ll just have to see what the price is each day. Does anyone know what the price has been lately? Does it change...

Genie Plus - Experiences and Reviews

I just bought California resident tix for this weekend and didn’t add Genie b/c I figured we could add day by day if we wanted it. Most likely we’ll want it all days but we haven’t been in years so I thought I should try it before committing to the other days. Anyway, looks like that was a...

Can someone explain the San Francisco/Tokyo redo of the Pacific Wharf area?

We love Big Hero 6, so this will appeal to my family. Is Pacific Wharf cafe closed during the refresh? I wish they’d bring back the shrimp Louie they used to offer ETA- the new soba noodle salad looks perfect! Any chance it will be offered before 8/31?

Disneyland to UCSB, shuttle to LAX?

Isn’t that crazy! Apparently the mom was too comfortable w/ humans too.

Disneyland to UCSB, shuttle to LAX?

Ha ha! Love SLO too. We’re on the coast, Santa Cruz.

Disneyland to UCSB, shuttle to LAX?

Same! I love SB and encouraged him to pick that school, but get too busy w/ other things to spend extra time there. It’s a 4 hr drive (south) for us, so he usually just takes the train back/forth. United also runs direct routes to SFO.

Disneyland to UCSB, shuttle to LAX?

Oddly SW isn’t flying direct to SB from any of the LA airports. United has a late night route direct from LAX that might be a bit faster than the airbus but probably not worth the extra cost. It’s summer, so probably not as many peeps going back and forth right now but definitely a good...

Disneyland to UCSB, shuttle to LAX?

Ok, sounds like we should just drive him to LAX (we’ll have our car). Thx for all the input. Good to know about the airbus, it will be useful for him to get comfortable with since I’m sure he’ll need to fly out of LAX in the future. So helpful!

Disneyland to UCSB, shuttle to LAX?

That is perfect!! I knew I was missing something. Are there popular shuttles from DL to LAX too?

Disneyland to UCSB, shuttle to LAX?

My son will need to leave our trip early to head back to school. Amtrak is an option but he’d have to leave earlier and it takes a long time. I’m debating a late night direct flight from LAX. What are the shuttle options from DL to LAX? Better options I’m missing? I guess one of us could drive...

Aulani or AKL now or wait?

That’s my plan as well. We’re West Coast (nearly Bay Area) and love our trips (at least once a year) to HI but my kids are mostly teens now and they are over Aulani, they think it’s super limited, geared toward babies, they prefer to explore, change up islands, etc. And, I agree. We still enjoy...

logo Disney plans targeted hiring freeze and job cuts, according to a memo from CEO Bob Chapek

Agreed. It’s actually oddly generic and uninspiring. Can’t see why anyone would want to stay on board.

    What next?

What’s next? For us, it’s continuing to sit in the sidelines until demand falls off (recession?). We can easily afford to go, but strongly dislike being nickel and dimed (prefer tix price increase), don’t want to spend all day booking things on my phone, and do not enjoy packed to the max...

It's kind of awful this week.

Sounds like they need to pay them more and see if there is anything else they can do to improve their employment

    Lose 25% Future Cruise Credit

It’s been so stressful trying to figure out how and when to use. We eventually gave up and canceled our spring break trip outright. We would have pushed out to summer but didn’t want the stress anyone. Good decision because covid finally got us (this BA.5 is so contagious, our daughter picked it...

    How are You Fighting Inflation?

Since the pandemic I’ve really been making everything from scratch. Tastes so much better and it’s cheap! I don’t know why we ever bought salad dressing, BBQ sauce, etc. We have 4 kids and only buy organic, so the grocery bill is still huge but at least we haven’t been wanting to eat out much...
