I picture that it will be similar to how an escalator handles a big crowd. This happens at modern sports stadiums that have them. When there's a rush, you can't just walk up to the escalator, but you are constantly moving towards the escalator and your time to the escalator is under a minute...

Also, minus the long walk down a ramp and then back up a ramp - like at the TTC...
