Just booked my first RCL trip, help a DCL girl out.

Great info, thank you so much!! We just booked with that great sale last week, was able to get 2 connecting rooms for less than Disney, so we will still have 2 bathrooms. My daughter is excited not to have to sleep in the bunk bed. Do you find the drink package worth it? I’m usually a 2-3 adult...

Just booked my first RCL trip, help a DCL girl out.

The only direct flight we could get home is an evening flight, so maybe we will just try to be last off the ship…I read somewhere you wait in your room now until your group is called.

Just booked my first RCL trip, help a DCL girl out.

If I can go to bed early and still get 1230 I’d be happy, I’m up at 5 for work, I’ll just try to log on then.

I hate the buffet on Disney, I make it my goal to never set foot in there, then again I’m not much of a buffet person in general. We are booked with early dining now, but I may switch to my time.

Yep, this is what made us decide to try, I still tear up at Sorcerer Mickey at dinner, but not sure they would. Sigh….how does the MDR food compare to Disney, we are not looking to do many upgrades to speciality dining.

Just booked my first RCL trip, help a DCL girl out.

Thanks for the reply, I don’t even know what to ask, it’s so new for us lol. We booked 8 days with 2 adjoining balconies and it was still $1000 cheaper than one room for 6 nights on DCL. with My husband is worried about not knowing what is and is not included. Also wondering how the teen...

Just booked my first RCL trip, help a DCL girl out.

Just booked a ‘last minute’ Christmas cruise on the Symphony. Wanted to go DCL, but the dates/prices didn’t work out for us. We are very familiar with Disney cruising, but this is a first Royal trip, tell me all the things I need to know, I don’t even know what to ask lol! I have 2 teens, so...

    Single rider lines open post-Covid?

I agree. I thought the cast members and recordings were a little over the top with the mask reminders. I knew we had to wear them, and it was fine, but did not appreciate the constant ‘if you don’t comply, you will be removed’ announcements. It really took away from the magic.

Mickey and Minnie Runaway Train today 6/4

We were in line yesterday morning to rope drop it and it broke down when we were near the front. We got a free fast pass which we used on smugglers run. The ride was back up and running by mid morning.

Newbie traveling with teens, advice please

Yes, but how do I make the best of my time? I know we can’t see it all, but what are the ‘must do’s’ for the teens?

Newbie traveling with teens, advice please

I wish we could go the night before but it’s just not feasible in the overall plan of the week. I did plan a low key no plans beach day after the trip to recover lol. We definitely don’t want to rush to everything (we are cruise pace people after all), but want to make sure we at least hit all...

Newbie traveling with teens, advice please

This is my first time on this side of the board. I am a Disney fanatic but haven’t been to the parks in 30 years!! We are definitely cruisers but with all that having been cancelled for do long, we thought we’d try the parks. Trip planned for early June. We Traveling with me are my Mom (a young...

Fort Lauderdale to Port of Miami

Last time we flew into FLL and ubered to Miami the night before and took Jiffy Jeff back after the cruise, both were about the sane price and both good experiences.

Good itinerary for sailing first time with a baby?

Isn’t this the truth!! We refer to our travels with babies/toddlers as family ‘trips’ vs. vacations, because they certainly weren’t relaxing. Do I have regrets, no, would I travel again with babies, yes...but it’s definitely a different experience from traveling pre kids. I agree go on a short...

What I Wish I Had Known Before Going On European Cruise

For those saying you don’t spend much time on the boat, is it worth the Disney premium for Europe? One of our fav things about a Disney ship is ship time, if off touring 10 hours a day, would a cheaper cruise line be sufficient?

Anyone Fly into FLL and Sail Out of Miami?

Yep. We flew in evening before and it was $50 to Uber from FLL to a hotel in downtown Miami. Was easy peasy, but after rush hour ended so not much traffic.

This is how my cruise refund is going so far, should I be concerned?

When I cancelled they said it could take up to 30 days. It didn’t take that long but I had it all on one credit card. I’d keep waiting it out if I were you.

Mein Schiff is cruising - what do you think?

You would love the Panama Canal cruise, most staterooms only have 2 passengers so even when fully booked the ship feels half full. Hands down our best trip!

How many experiences removed before Disney wouldn’t cruise ( in your opinion)?

I can say if I have to wear a mask I won’t cruise. I wear masks 8-12 hours a day at work now and no way will I do so on vacation. So we won’t cruise until there is enough of a need not to. Really other than no buffet self service, I’m not willing to pay the Disney premium for a reduced experience.
