Whole life insurance pros and cons?

Whole life insurance is a total rip off. If she has dependents or someone who relies on her income, then she should get term insurance. $200k coverage would maybe be $100 per year for a 23 year old.

    Gift Card Wallet

I did the same for mobile order. Put the gift card #s in a note on your phone. To me, having to go to the front desk to pay is a pain, so I just use the gift cards like a credit card when I am buying stuff. I don't care about the "convenience" of paying with a Magic Band.

Target Gift Cards and Cancellation Question

Yep only gift cards back if there is a cancellation. I wound up with a lot of $$ last year on gift cards due to a cancelled cruise. Also, think it through, if you could buy gift cards, then get cash back then so much fraud would happen and blogs would be writing about how to hack this loophole.

    Travel Insurance Documentation Question ...

I'm trying to file a claim for a cancelled Disney Cruise booked through Costco due to a family death and the insurance company wants this documentation: "Verification from travel supplier on their letterhead regarding any refunds received." Where am I supposed to get this from? Call Disney...

Loved your report. Now I want to go eat at Cheddars though :-)

Photo Session ... Embarkation Day ... Timing

Hi. I am considering doing a Disney Fine Arts Photography session at Epcot right before our cruise. We are flying in Thursday night and staying at the Swan, spending Friday in the parks, and our cruise departs Saturday (Port Canaveral). Which day would you choose for a photo session...

Getting to port--DCL Transfer or private service?

What kind of car seat, it's easy to get a car service with a car seat? Can you offer your brother a few $$s to take you?

Flight return time 1 pm or 3:25

Ok. I’ve changed my flight to 1 pm. I think that will work out nicely.

    Critique my Disney Bachelorette plan?

There is an after hours event at the Magic Kingdom during those dates. You could possibly have a relaxed pool day and do that event instead of a morning and afternoon at Magic Kingdom, the wait times should be nice and low and you wouldn’t need to worry about Fastpasses (just a thought). I think...

    Critique my Disney Bachelorette plan?

It all sounds very overly ambitious to me and getting around fort wilderness will be a pain taking two buses unless you have a car. I reiterate 6 ladies and 1 bathroom is not a good idea. You could save a lot skipping universal and parkhoppers and just doing 1 day Epcot, 1 day MK, 1 day HS...

Flight return time 1 pm or 3:25

Which of these departure times would you prefer at the end of the cruise? Costs are similar. This is for a Southwest flight out of MCO returning to Port Canaveral. Only 3 of us and we have TSA precheck. Leaning towards 1 pm as hanging out at the airport is so boring but I don’t want to be...

Please help the wife of a football junkie

I’m sure somewhere at the Swan or Dolphin would have it on too.

    Disney Gift Card Deals

Michaels would not let me buy a gift card with a credit card earlier this year. Don’t know if that’s a national policy or local but YMMV.

    Christmas 2020 visit. Insanity?

The Swan and Dolphin are super cheap over Thanksgiving. If cost is your biggest factor, look into this. Only paying around $1,416 including taxes and fees for a double room at the Dolphin for 6 nights. I wouldn’t make a blanket assumption that Disney packages over Thanksgiving would be a...

CARNIVAL VS DCL: The discussion and comparison thread!

No, I did a 3 night on the Carnival Ecstasy 12 years ago (pre kid days) and did not like it much. More of a weekend booze cruise. I did a lot more research this time vs. none the time before. The ship and itinerary really fit our needs for this trip. We just did a beach excursion at Cozumel...

CARNIVAL VS DCL: The discussion and comparison thread!

Just did a 5 night Western Caribbean on the Carnival Dream. We enjoyed it so much I'm kind of afraid I won't like next year's 7 nighter on the Disney Fantasy as much. :-) ... at least for the price difference anyways. My daughter adored the cruise director. She, however, REFUSED to go to the...

    Convert to twin beds

Thanks for the replies everyone. It’s good to know instead of just assuming the option is available! That’s what I figured anyway. Most other ships make it pretty clear the bed is configurable.

    Convert to twin beds

Just off a ship where you could have 3 twins. Queen converted to 2 twins and a twin sofa bed. Much better for a mother, daughter, granddaughter trip. While I “could” share a bed with someone other than DH, I really wouldn’t want to. :-)

    Convert to twin beds

Wow. That is kind of surprising. Really limits who is willing to share a room ( maybe their point!). Luckily it’s just me and DH. We’re used to a king but we’ll make do I guess!

    Convert to twin beds

Does the queen in a cabin have the ability to convert to 2 twins like other cruise ships?
