What do you remember being able to see out of the windows from one of your school classrooms?

Some classes looked out on the playground, others looked out on a cemetery. Small town life And yes, we had indoor recess whenever there was a funeral.

Where have you traveled to this year?

Yes we did Gardens Aglow at the Botanical Gardens. Its incredible. It's about a 3 hour drive for us so we did an overnight in the area and it was well worth it.

Where have you traveled to this year?

In February we did Universal Orlando, Sea World, Epcot and some non-park Disney time. In April we did a road trip (we live in NH) down to West Virginia and Kentucky. We did New River Gorge National Park, Mammoth Cave, and spent a few nights in Louisville with some Bourbon Trail stops. In August...

When will Jetblue release August, 2024 flights?

They open a new day for booking each day, about 330(ish) days in advance. It'll be sometime in September, depending on which date you're looking for. Just look at the calendar for booking now and see where they're at and you can count out from there the specific date you need.

    Women's clothing rant and question

I'm in my 30s and I agree with you. Athleisure is not appropriate for work. Crop tops and cheek baring shorts are not appropriate for work. I had to unexpectedly shop for a funeral in the fall of 2021. Even Banana Republic barely had anything funeral appropriate. I will say that I finally...

Staying a few nights at Bellagio, Las Vegas

We stayed there April 2022. We loved having a Fountain view room. It was great being able to watch the fountains from the quiet, air conditioned room. We were on the 18th floor and the room had phenomenal blackout curtains so no issues with the fountains or the lights on the Parks keeping us up...

Probably not. The Monarchs are no longer a hockey team in my area.

How were the lockdowns for you?

I'm a school speech pathologist. It was a nightmare and the impacts are absolutely still being felt.

    How early for rope drop

We will be staying at Portofino Bay at the very end of February (the week after Presidents Day). If we want to attempt to rope drop Hagrid's, what time should we be leaving the resort, walking? It'll be a weekday if that matters.

Post Covid Exhaustion, tips and tales

My husband and I both had VERY mild Covid a year ago. For both of us, the worst fatigue lasted two weeks but it was a month before we were back to normal energy levels

Post all SW questions concerns, etc. here...

Just go on the Southwest website and book the EBCI. You shouldn't need to call to add EBCI. I have the card that gives Southwest travel credit rather than EBCI and just used it once my annual credit reset to purchase EBCI for my husband and I, who are on two separate reservations. I went online...

What is the most frustrating thing you are currently dealing with?

We are almost 3 weeks into our second boil order in 3 months because the neighborhood well keeps getting contaminated with e coli. I've been sick with the cold that keeps giving (enough negative Covid tests and colleagues with the same symptoms and equally negative Covid tests to believe it...

    Sick time

I work in education. I have a significant amount of sick time available to me, having been with my district more than 10 years, with a lot of rollover sick time. Prior to Covid, I averaged 3-4 sick days a year. I pushed through a lot, but sometimes you just can't, and being in special ed exposes...

Is anyone still wearing masks indoors at Disney?

I'll be wearing one the first couple days of my trip indoors but then I'm phasing it out. For me, it's not so much about not getting it (been there done that and I work in special ed and my husband works with the public so going to get it a billion more times), it's about not getting sick until...
