    Sci-fi Dine in worth it?

It's one of our favorites. We love the atmosphere (and we're the people saying, "Seen it!" to most of the movie trailers). The burgers, shakes, and sides are all good (though I miss the salmon BLT they used to have; it was delicious).

    Cancel or go alone?

Go for it. I would sell my soul for a few days at WDW by myself, without having to worry about anyone else's needs, feel responsible for others' emotions and enjoyment of the trip, and do what I wanted to do when I wanted to to it.

    Actual Dog Experiences

Ugh, that is disheartening. Having dogs at a resort like POR makes a bit of sense as the dogs can be kept to one area. But there isn't that option at YC, and it seems the whole resort is fair game. If the policy is still in place next time I go, I'll probably book BC to be on the safe side.

Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

We had a bathtub in our room, though it wasn't very big.

Yes, last week that corridor was blocked, but if we walked through a smoking area, I didn't know it (no one was smoking).

    Actual Dog Experiences

For my part, it's not disdain. It's just that Disney can only do so much given the circumstances. Let's say dog is left in a room and starts barking. After 30 minutes, Disney reaches out to the owner, who is in the parks and can't hear the phone because of ambient noise, or is in line for a ride...

If the dogs could all be restricted to first floor, that would help. It's easy enough to request an upper floor so I don't have to hear the barking.

Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

What percentage of rooms is this? It seems like a lot, and over a widespread area. Not exactly confining the dogs to a contained location.

Trial Run for Dogs in Resort Rooms

This. If a dog and its owner are following the rules, it merits nothing more than an eye roll, if that. But violation of rules (allowing the dog to bark for minutes on end, not cleaning up feces because "that's someone else's job," or letting the dog run wild and jump on people because "Fluffy...

Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

One more thing I forgot to mention about our stay at YC. I love the little shelf on the non-table side of the bed. That's my side of the bed and I always need a place to keep my glasses, earplugs, phone (for the alarm), etc. That shelf was great. I also loved all the USB ports. Very handy.

Not really, unless the giraffes, zebras, and whatnot are going to be in the rooms, making noise and shedding.

    Tell me about Biergarten...

I love Biergarten. I'm usually not the most social person, but I don't mind the communal seating. it's always been nice (except for one time, when the others at our table were giving us the stink eye over having alcohol with dinner, but we just drank more schnapps and ignored them).

Ten bucks says George K is one of those dog owners, the sort who assume everyone loves dogs as much as they do.

The dog is abandoned and in distress. It's a moral imperative that I let Animal Control know.

Trial Run for Dogs in Resort Rooms

I predict a lot of calls to local Animal Control when dogs keep barking past the 30-minute mark. I know I'd have the number in my contacts list.

Trial Run for Dogs in Resort Rooms

Ugh. Just got back from YC, which I loved and hope to go back to in a few years. But I would not look forward to being kept awake all night by a barking dog just because Disney decided to cater to the "BUT MY FUR BABIIEEZZZZZ" crowd.

Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

I ended up renting a scooter on our last day, at AK. It was stressful because I had to creep along so I wouldn't bump the many, many people who wandered into my path or stopped dead in front of me. My kid kept urging me to go to the Dark Side: "Just hit them! Let the hate flow through you!"

    2017 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival: August 31, 2017 - November 13, 2017

Got back from our trip last night. Spent a good deal of time at Food and Wine. It was our first time at the festival, and I really enjoyed it. Will definitely go back again. Here's my assessment of the food I tried: Active Eats: Roasted Verlasso salmon (very good), cucumber and lemon-lime hard...
