Disneyland will sell alcohol for the first time when Star Wars land opens in 2019

It might be because most kids/young adults under 21 can't legally drink. Also, it does negatively affect others. That's one of the reasons why such strict regulations are put on alcohol sales across the U.S. We've seen drunk and belligerent people over in DCA and that's not the type of...

    Hotel options with 5 beds

The Desert Inn is right across the street and has a "parlour suite" with 4 queen beds + a sofa bed. Not sure if something like that might work. You might also check grand legacy's multi-bedroom suites.

    Surviving Summer 2019 at Disneyland!

I thought the same thing. I think it'll probably hit capacity the first few days, but after? I'm really doubting it.

Chance to go to DL but didn't bring AP...

If you have your I.D. and it's on your phone, I would think you should be fine. They should be fine park hopping too. I might call just to confirm, though.

Don't need a map, but just wanted to say how cool it was that you did this! :)

    Length of Stay

That's what we've done. Who knows though when they increase before SWL. I think 7 days is the break-even point right now, so we figure if we even get 2 4-day trips out of it, we're ahead.

    Length of Stay

Absolutely not! We've done 12 days before, but that was a few years ago. You can take your time and really enjoy it, especially if you don't get to go that often.

Should I splurge for the Disneyland Hotel?

Haha! I understand that - it would take away from park time. Sounds like me and you would get along well!! :flower1:

Should I splurge for the Disneyland Hotel?

Same! While it might be a nice treat, I just could never justify it. Even if I had unlimited funds, I would still think "well, I could be using that $$ for something else..." Is there a word similar to "foodie" that's for hotels? Well if there is, we're not it lol

Should I splurge for the Disneyland Hotel?

I can't even imagine that! I would rather go 4-5 times a year x at least 3 days each than stay onsite once a year for 5 days. It probably equals out or comes to less, plus we have a trip to look forward to every quarter. I think the only way we would pay over $400/night for a basic room is if...

Should I splurge for the Disneyland Hotel?

For $200 it's worth it. Curious, how are you able to get such discounted rates, @FutureDisneyEventPlanner ?

Anyone try the RBT Fantasmic Premium seating?

They haven't had F! during the week in "off season" for a long time (if ever). I wish they would, but nightly entertainment is usually only during the peak season.

    Hyatt House or Hyatt Place?

I don't know that I would recommend the Paradise Pier hotel, the only perk outside of a regular hotel room is Extra Magic Hour. For us personally, the $300 difference wouldn't be worth it. Also, you have to walk through Downtown Disney now instead of cutting through the Grand Californian, so...

    Hyatt House or Hyatt Place?

We stayed at Hyatt House (Harbor/Katella one) earlier this year and that is the one hotel we have on our no return list. Which is sad, because it is a nice hotel but the walls/floor are paper thin. We could hear every little step above us, which was amplified when the kids would jump off the...

    First Visit: Unimpressed

Sorry to hear that your trip wasn't magical. We've always had wonderful experiences with the CMs, barring only a few interactions that weren't so friendly over 15+ years. We have some favorites that we look for each time we visit from recognition. Come to think of it, I normally don't pay...
