Back from a wonderful trip! Report and pictures. April 7-9

I love how you can see a kitty supervising the shirt making process in one of the pics! 😆 These are amazing by the way! You are super talented.

Disneyland annual passholder fights 1-year ban for selling tickets on eBay

Agreed. And I love this metaphor 😆 This whole story reminds me of the naysayers in OBB threads that are convinced we are making these types of stories up. Now we have definitive proof!

    T-Shirts Needed for Upcoming Trip

I agree with others that Etsy would likely have what you are looking for. :grouphug:Also, I am so sorry for your loss. That's wonderful to hear you are all doing a trip in her honor. I hope you have a fantastic time. :tink:

Back from a wonderful trip! Report and pictures. April 7-9

Great trip report! Glad you decided to go and had a good time. Ugh, I'll echo the complaints for Oga's. We went in January for the first time and it will be our last time. They placed us at a standing table with other people and it was just awkward. There was a party leaving as we were being...

    Eclipse in Disneyland?

This is so cute! Love it 🤩

    Downtown Disney recommendations?

The PP gave great suggestions! I'd also say to explore the GCH a bit. They usually have a seasonal treat cart in the lobby with fun desserts. I think it's Star Wars themed for Season of the Force now.

    Grand Californian Super Thread

I know what you mean! We stayed at VDH in January and I was missing the Grand so much! I'm glad you were able to get connecting rooms. They were able to do that for us when we took a trip with my parents a few years back. It was awesome...like one big suite.

No worries! I hope you have a fantastic trip at WDW!

New Culinary Delights Coming to Downtown Disney District

I agree. It's kind of like Blue Bayou with the bread...now you can buy a ridiculously small portion of brioche whereas they used to provide a basket (with different varieties) for the table free of charge.

**Official Dapper Day 2024 thread*** and planning* post PICS here

Lol I'm the same, although I think we are often our own worst enemies. I'm sure you look fantastic in all your pics!

    Pixar Place Superthread

I agree with DizMe, they need to do better than that. Nine days for such a drastic change is not acceptable. I would also nicely push for GCH, as you are losing the more direct Pixar Place to DCA entrance being at DLH (sure, it's still close, but not the same). ETA: I agree with your other...

    The Disneyland Hotel Superthread

I wanted to confirm what the PP said. We no longer ask for king beds at DLH after getting stuck with a crackerjack box of a room. I had specifically asked for a king and we waited til about 4pm for the room ready text. Once we got to the room we were a bit shocked, but were tired, so didn't feel...

We Call It Imagineering | Audio-Animatronics. First Look at Tiana's Bayou animatronics

I LOVED Splash and I was very annoyed and sad about this changeover. But wow... seeing the Louis animatronic (and others) has gotten me hyped up for this! WDW hasn't gotten a firm opening date yet, right? I keep wondering when it will open for us. I know they said late 2024...but that could...

    Autopia going electric

I am torn on this. I understand the need for modernizing, but I'm weird and sort of liked the gas fumes. It unlocked good memories. But then again, I'm also the person who huffs one of my H20 lotion bottles when I need an endorphin boost. Apparently smells associated with memories are very...

    The Disneyland Hotel Superthread

I know it doesn't help you for DLH, but if you are really opposed to elevators, we have stayed in several GCH rooms off of the lobby that are accessible via an open staircase. These are on the second and third floors (not sure if there are rooms on the ground floor, or if that is just for the...

    Wait Times

My wait threshold is similar, about 30 minutes. Anything more than that would have to be for a special circumstance...for instance, we waited about an hour to ride Tower of Terror before it closed for the Guardians redo.

    *August 2024 Check-in Thread*

Welcome! I'm glad you found this group too! I've added you. How exciting to return to DL after so many years. Since you've been to WDW recently, you at least know about Genie+. I would say it's much more useful here on the west coast. Last trip we used a combo of acceleration and fishing for...

    Disneyland bubble

This brought back very fond memories! When DCA first opened I BEGGED my parents relentlessly to go. By that time (I was 14), my older brother was too cool to go to Disneyland, so they only took me. And to top it off, we stayed at what was then Paradise Pier Hotel! My Mom reasoned that I was...

    Disneyland bubble

😂 Oh my gosh, I almost spit out my drink. Ugh, the bubbles! One time they flew into my eyes and then my mouth (gross). It was like an all out bubble assault!

Best hospital or urgent care near Disneyland? (For future reference)

While I don't have a suggestion, I'm curious what hospital you ended up in? (So we can avoid it if ever in that predicament!) Here's hoping to healthy, happy trips for us all! :wizard:
