I found one on sale for $10 at the Character Wearhouse and was happy with it on our cruise last week but only because my back/neck problems cause me to hate wearing a lanyard. My other family members did not see a benefit.

Another vote for hanging out on deck 4. We love watching the actual sail away, and deck 4 is the best place for that.

We're very flexible, and book when there is a good deal ($200 p.p.p.n.). Please note that many sailings never get a good deal, and booking as soon as they come out is cheapest.

We've enjoyed Palo brunch before and after the changes. I'm one of the few who prefers the new way of doing Palo brunch. I felt that the service was more attentive, and the food was still wonderful and plentiful.

Besides DCL, we very much enjoy sailing with Holland America. Great itineraries, and we feel that service and food are up to par with DCL.

How was the food at the MDR? We've been eyeing the Magic for a while, but we weren't that impressed with the food our last two cruises in 2022, while we loved it on all sailings before that.

As expected: Crazy summer prices, but reasonable in September. 4-night on the Wonder to Lighthouse Point on September 9 for $1,690 for two adults in an inside stateroom. That's my usual that I'm willing to pay for DCL. $211 per person per night.
