So much Disney food is terrible

I think it's at least more consistent. I would take Satuli Canteen over pretty much any quick service in Disneyland, but the basic things like burgers and chicken seem to be better on the west coast.

So much Disney food is terrible

I've had everything from mediocre to fantastic food at Disney. I could eat the venison from Jiko for every dinner the rest of my life and still look forward to it. But I've also had a cheeseburger at off-hours in the Pop Century food court that was a step below fast food. Fortunately, the bad...

Uber/lyft from offsite hotel to Disney- experiences?

At Magic Kingdom, you get dropped off at the TTC. At the other parks, there is a specific pick up and drop off area that's a similar walk to the main entrance as the busses. I've never had issues getting around property with short waits and a reasonable price. Drivers will wait around Disney...

Are Deluxe Resort bus stops closer to park entrances?

Usually they are. I've also noticed Golden Oak is normally in the best spot.

    Lounge for dinner suggestions

Wine Bar George, Steakhouse 71, and Flying Fish all have bar seating. I think Morimoto Asia does too.

    Flying vs driving

For a group of 8, you could either do 2-3 rideshares depending on luggage, get a private shuttle, or use Mears Connect. I usually don't find renting a car is worth it if you're going to be on property the whole trip anyway, and private shuttles are expensive. Mears connect would be $270 round...

Tips for taking mom on a Disney trip?

Coronado Springs seems to be a favorite for adult only trips. I haven't stayed there yet, but it gets a lot of good reviews, especially the tower rooms. Any resort with Skyliner or Monorail access is nice and a big upgrade over the busses. For resort days, Animal Kingdom Lodge and Wilderness...

First Adults Only Trip Dining Recs?

Jiko and Flying Fish have been my two favorite resort restaurants. Steakhouse 71 is also great if you want steak but don't want to pay signature prices. For Epcot specifically, Takumi Tei would be a once in a lifetime type of meal. I personally like Chefs du France and am eager to try Shiki...

    slo’s WEDNESDAY 8/24 poll - Rubber Gloves 🧤

I rarely use them. I would need to be cleaning something really gross to use them. For normal bathroom and kitchen cleaning, I use bare hands.

Was it really only 2022? I thought they had given mentions earlier.

May 2025 Solo- 9 Park Days

I would probably start the day at Epcot to get another ride on Guardians, then end with my favorite nighttime show. For me, that's Happily Ever After in MK, but whichever you want to see again.

Victoria & Albert’s awarded MICHELIN Star

This is big. They've been trying to get one for years.

    What's your favourite Disney memory?

The most nostalgic is marathoning Splash Mountain with my dad and uncle during extra magic hours. It was a walk on every time for over an hour straight.

    My cruise dropped 2k

DCL won't adjust your price after final payment date. You would need to cancel and rebook with whatever refund you're able to get through Disney and travel insurance.

    slo’s MONDAY 4/22 poll - Disney Parks Dining 🍽️

I usually focus on quick service for most meals and signature dining about every other day. The signature meals are definitely my favorites and usually worth the money.

First Time ABD Trip July England/France

Both hotels will have higher end restaurants nearby, both in the hotel and within walking distance. If you get the chance, I recommend getting a steak pie or other classic pub dish. You go to a pub one day for lunch, but when in England for a few days, you can't have too much pub food. Paris...

Poly sofa bed - comfortable for an adult?

The Poly DVC studios have real mattresses in their pull-down beds. Not quite as comfy as the main ones, but as good as an average hotel bed.

Hotel Closest to Saratoga Springs Resort

The two Hiltons and Wyndham at Disney Springs would be the closest walks. But depending on the room location in Saratoga, they could still be 20 minutes or more. I would really recommend getting a 3 bedroom villa or a studio and link the reservations together.
