    Dining Reservations for solo trip?

Most of the lounges are a standby basis. To be perfectly honest, if there is a particular restaurant you want, don't be afraid to make a reservation. You definitely wouldn't be the only solo to book one. However, I have winged it before and have been fine as well. It all depends on which...

1 day solo - yes or no

I travel on a very limited budget most of the time, so it’s typically a 2-3 day trip and much of the time off property(though I won’t usually pass up a good deal).

1 day solo - yes or no

Hotels don’t have to be expensive. Look into Disney Springs or off-property hotels in the main gate area. Doesn’t have to be in a Disney resort for a single night.

1 day solo - yes or no

I normally would say yes, but the reality is you are getting more of a half day. You would get there around 11:15AM at the earliest and have to leave the park at 6PM to make it back to the airport in time. Orlando is a 3 hour before departure arrival window to make sure you get through security...

    Solo or not to solo?

Do a solo trip for yourself and then plan one with her next year.

    Solos at Spice Table Road?

Based on this photo, I would say these are typical small plate servings like you'd find at most tapas/small plates type restaurants. @Simba's Mom I think you'd be fine with 2 to 3 selections. You can always order more, after all.

Newly single, looking for groups to travel with

Just a note, to qualify as a group on a cruise you usually need 16 berths(or 8 cabins, solos typically count as 2 berths). You get some perks at this point. Once in a while, cruise lines discount the number of berths that qualify for group perks(say, something like 10 berths/5 cabins). I...

    Savi's - arrival time?

I doubt you will be dining at Savi's, but plan to arrive 15-20 minutes before your experience time. So arrive around 8PM-8:10PM to check in and look through any of the drawers if you need to see the parts.

Newly single, looking for groups to travel with

There are quite a few of us on here that travel solo on a fairly regular basis, but I do think you have a good idea. I enjoy the parks myself, but solo travel does have it's inconveniences, but you have to have the right group to travel with. I usually meet up with a friend when I can, but I...

Solo (sort of) trip in 2024

I would go for October/November since you could get Halloween, Food & Wine, and maybe the Holiday celebrations all in one go. I would look more towards a moderate, but pay attention to transportation options for each resort to figure our a short list, since you won't have a vehicle. I do these...

Considering First Ever Solo Trip - Tips, Suggestions, and Advice?

Too often, people are made to feel like Disney isn't solo friendly, and I have never found that to be the case. I actually tend to enjoy solo travel, even to theme parks, more enjoyable than with other people. Granted, I never really have done a family trip, but have done trips with other...

    How would you do it.?

Don't even attempt Epcot in a single day. The sheer walkable size of it, especially the World Showcase, makes it a two day minimum. It's about twice the size of any other park(AK is larger but has the smallest walkable space, with most of the land dedicated to the animals and their upkeep)...

Help convincing for adults only trip

Epcot and Galaxy's Edge are good for adults, depending on his interests. Animal Kingdom can be to some extent. Look into some of the tours as well. There may be something there that would be of interest. I tend to go solo as an adult male and it is definitely not just for kids. There is this...

Learned something about myself at Disneyland a couple of weeks ago...

I would give a solo trip to WDW a try. I recommend two days for Epcot since it's hard to do in just one day with the sheer walkable size. Really only takes 4-5 days for the main parks. Then you could try a water park if you wanted. The Disney Water Parks can be fun. I usually do short trips...

Learned something about myself at Disneyland a couple of weeks ago...

I think perhaps what you experienced, though unfortunate, may be attributed to a different culture between the parks. Disneyland tends to be a locals park, so I would expect not all of the CMs are as thrilled to be there. In my experience in Florida, the CMs do tend to go out of their way...

    Savi’s booking before 60 days?

60 + 10 would be 70 days, if you are staying on property.

    Single shamed at Space 220

Honestly, I think this may have been best dealt with, at that point, by going above the night manager. Clearly, Disney wouldn't condone such behavior from it's employees, so it is best, if you encounter that pushback in the future, to escalate it above the manager.

Droid depot and Savi’s with 6 year old

Not done this with kids, but I don't think it would be an issue at Droid Depot for adults to help kids while doing their own. The hardest part is the part that needs a screw driver.

Add a day to an existing park ticket

You should be able to add it since each ticket is listed separately in MDE, but if you can't do it in the app, call and see what they can do over the phone. Generally speaking, Disney tends to be more than accommodating when it comes to you offering them more money.

    DCL & Universal

Personally, I would choose another line before DCL, but DCL may get chosen over Carnival. As far as WDW v Universal, both are currently good parks(though Hollywood Studios I mainly consider worthwhile only for Galaxy's Edge and Toy Story). That said, price is the main reason people are moving to...
