After our last trip, considering cancelling our Christmas 2018...

When I went a few weeks ago, there was NO doubt that local APers were what made the majority of the insane crowd. The parking lots even got shut down....on a weekday in the middle of September! Supposedly one of the "slowest" times at Disneyland. The summer block-out days were so much less...

How bad are EMH when you’re off property?

Agree. I know they say "never waste your MM". But this is an exception. There is no way I would ever do a 9am MM again....Unless you hit a day when it is raining or cold, then the park will probably slow no matter what you do.

How bad are EMH when you’re off property?

I agree, 9 am magic mornings are a nightmare. Plus, there is no off season anymore. Most off season days this year were busier than the summer "on season" days (besides grad nights of course) My advise is to go on a week that MAY be a bit busier but has full park hours with a full entertainment...

CA Screamin' has a 120 min wait?!?

Half of Utah will be there next weekend. UEA= Utah Escapes to Anaheim (hehe) On another note, I have studied Christopher Columbus over the past few days and come to the conclusion that he was an absolutely awful man that did unforgivable things and I have no idea why we have a holiday honoring...

    Underage drinking

Yes, they do have more cases of binge drinking in other countries. Honestly, in Germany, kids were regularly drinking at 13/14 years old. Statistics for arrests in underage drinking aren't as high in other countries as in the US because other countries don't enforce them as much, but anonymous...

Always visit in July - may visit in February - Help!

I was also going to mention that if you have little kids that don't stay out late anyways, I don't think short disneyland hours will hurt you too much (besides being more crowded). However, teens and adults might be bummed when the park closes at 8pm (or earlier due to off season "special...

    Cafe Orleans Menu Changes

Ahhh, I see. Well, I definitely saw "real" steaks coming out of the kitchen. No idea he done-ness of them though. Hope you find a definitive answer!

    Cafe Orleans Menu Changes

Sorry, I should have mentioned the menu I ordered off was the F! Menu, not the regular menu. The regular menu people got a real steak (I saw several of them)

    Underage drinking

Feel kinda bad if this was an older man, but sneaking alcohol to teens (as was the case in this thread's example) is a huge deal and should never be taken lightly, especially if this really was her boyfriend. Scientifically speaking, there is a reason why alcohol is banned before 21. And yes...

Always visit in July - may visit in February - Help!

The "off season" is no more. Feb was busier than July this year. I mean, there were some 9 out of 10 crowd days in Feb and I think even weekends in July only hit 6 out of 10. Combine that with short hours, less entertainment, lower staff, and ride refurbishments...I would stick with July...

    Underage drinking

Yeah, they are pretty strict with IDs, so I bet someone older bought the drinks. The bartender or whoever can't possibly monitor where that said older/legal person goes from that point on or who he/she eventually gives the drinks to. Glad security caught it.

    Cafe Orleans Menu Changes

Yeah, I was confused on why they had to basically lie on their menu and call it steak. Shredded roast beef is NOT steak. CO should just put roast beef and call it good. My meal was a rip off anyways, mine as well call the meat what it is so expectations are low and accurate.

    Why the bad reviews?

I was so so careful with our stroller, but I noticed people (mostly teenagers) would just randomly stop in a walkway to Snapchat or whatever while everyone else was going full speed! It was happening everywhere! People would run into them and these teens would be so rude even though THEY were...

    Cafe Orleans Menu Changes

That is the same menu as when we went there a couple weeks ago. No pomme frites and the "steak and potatoes" entree is definitely roast beef.

    Why the bad reviews?

I just looked at October's hours and they look great!!! No doubt they will help with crowds. I'm guessing as the Halloween theme wears on, the less the local crowd will rush the evenings as well. Until the Christmas decor starts going up....

Increasing number of days for tickets

Did this 2 weeks ago. Really easy.

    Why the bad reviews?

Yeah, we were upset about the random 5pm closing also. And we planned for months as well. I think it is easy to say "enjoy the magic" for people with the means to frequently visit Disneyland. Because who cares then? Just come back another day and enjoy what you can that particular day. But for...

    Why the bad reviews?

Well, thank goodness the staffing restrictions lift as of Sept 30! So even if it is busy like lately, you will at least have plenty of staff (including security to help those lines go faster). Also, with maintenance people back to the needed numbers, rides that do go down will be up faster...

    Cafe Orleans Menu Changes

I think for $45, pomme frites should be an appetizer option and you shouldn't have to pay extra. Also, a real cup of gumbo and not some doll-sized tea cup. I mean, Disney acts like they are losing money on these F! meals when they pull off the fries and call shredded roast beef "steak". I heard...

    Cafe Orleans Menu Changes

Yeah, I think the whole roast beef thing is for the F! Dining only. We got the roast beef crap (it was dry and gross), but I saw other tables getting "real" steak.
