    Transportation MCO to Royal Pacific

Oh boy, that was in 2021 which is a long time ago for my memory. It was the Mears taxi stand, and I want to say it was in the $40-45 range, and almost certainly under $50. I remember thinking that it was more expensive than when I Ubered MCO-Universal in 2019 but less expensive than I'd feared.

    Transportation MCO to Royal Pacific

I've used Uber and Lyft quite a lot over the years but after an unpleasant experience, I've gone back to taxis (speaking as an often solo female traveler). The taxi stand at MCO was very quick to get me on my way, and I was able to very easily reserve a pickup time for my trip back to the...

Where to eat at Universal Orlando including menus...UPDATED REGULARLY

Does anyone have a recent menu for Amatista's a la carte breakfast options? OI has a photo but I'm not sure how recent it is.

First ever Trip to Universal/Orlando February 1-8 2022!

Ugh Spirit. A close friend was similarly burned a few years ago, so I've never actually flown with them myself. I hope you managed to get your refund out of them! So good that you were able to book with Southwest instead, they're generally just so reliable in my experience. (though it also...

Advice Needed for Trip in February

We did an airport hotel back in 2017, but Dockside & Surfside are so inexpensive you really might as well grab that for a night imo. It'll be nearby for transferring luggage and you'll have early park admission that first day. Places to eat - I'm a big fan of Cowfish, and if your girls are HP...

    Crowd levels mid-December?

The Orlando Informer crowd calendar projects it as moderate for your dates. There are a few different crowd calendars out there - checking them and the projected wait times for those crowd levels may be a good place to start? No one really knows how re-opening international travel is going to...

Spots available Private RIP HHN Orlando tour 10/30/21 - now full!

Ugh, I'm sorry, I didn't realize. I didn't think it fell under that interpretation of their group rules.

Spots available Private RIP HHN Orlando tour 10/30/21 - now full!

I know you said you don't do Facebook, but I'd think posting in the Orlando Informer FB group could get you a few more people pretty quickly?

Cabana Bay or Dockside Family Suite?

I haven't stayed at Dockside, but I have stayed in one of CBBR's one bedroom suites. We had four adults and it worked really well for us. I really liked the exterior-entry suites. We stayed in Thunderbird iirc and the soundproofing was really good, plus the bedroom was pleasantly dark since the...

HHN at last! A TR that was briefly live, then not live, and is now finished.

Fabulous! We'll be there in a week and a half. We're planning to check in on Ollivander's our first afternoon 🥳

Thanks for sharing your trip! I'll be following along! And - no wait at Ollivander's? 🤯

    Are Universal Tickets upgradeable?

Depending on the time of year you go, you might save a little by upgrading your ticket to a Seasonal Pass as long as your trip isn't during the blockout dates. You would need to double check though - if you upgrade during a blockout timeframe, you wouldn't be able to use the park entry.

Help us with motion sickness rides

I've learned that my body can only take scopolamine for two days max, and then I'm just so thirsty/dry-mouthed I'm miserable in a different way. But it affects everyone differently. As a motion sickness prone person, I'd probably put the patch on before breakfast of your first full day, have a...

    11/11 Veteran's Day Crowd Levels?

WOW, thanks for that - I completely forgot that the seasonal pass upgrade is so close to the ticket price! This trip has been deferred from early 2020 and I dimly recall knowing that once upon a time I was going to upgrade, but with all the confusion of canceling and rebooking and extending, I...

    11/11 Veteran's Day Crowd Levels?

Where are you seeing 11/10 for $337? Is it AP or FL resident rate? Unfortunately neither are applicable for us. I'd thought about getting an AP but... then I bought a house which curtailed the thought of another Universal trip within the next year. 🙃 For us non-AP plebs, I see Sapphire Falls...

    11/11 Veteran's Day Crowd Levels?

Just double checked - according to MouseSavers, it's the 4th-5th! So Monday will probably be a little elevated, and then Thursday/Friday due to Veterans Day but hopefully we won't get the double whammy. ;)

    11/11 Veteran's Day Crowd Levels?

Since we'll be there on weekdays, not the weekend, we might grab an EP for Thursday, but we might not since it's our last day. I've been to the parks without Express Pass in early June 2017 and it was rather crowded, but it was bearable; moderate to high crowd levels iirc. A deluxe resort isn't...

Portofino, Velocicoaster, Big Fire, & Toothsome Trip Report 10/12-10/15

How fun to find friends from home while on vacation! Following along with this TR. :) And oof only one guy working the crepes kitchen? Poor dude! The crepes sound so good, I hope we have time to grab one when we go! Thanks for the Bigfire review! I feel like I don't hear a lot about that...
