    Cruise from Dover - Airport?

Didn't mean to imply direct service ... I forget that this is what people expect in Europe. In the UK, it's typical to take a train (above or below ground ... or both) to get to a train. My bad. Also, I've never found changes/transfers involving a Tube station to be problematic.

    Cruise from Dover - Airport?

The international airport closest to Dover is Gatwick ... south of London ... but Heathrow and Gatwick both have train service to Dover. IIRC it's 3-4 hours by train. Personally, if I had a couple of days before a cruise out of Dover, I'd fly into London and then spend the time in and around...

Non-Dreams Unlimited Travel Agent Claims September Cruise Can’t Be Canceled Currently

That applies to direct consumer reservations, not TA-booked reservations. We have to call. Terms and conditions don't always match up with actual practices and procedures.

Has anyone received their refund yet?

It generally took 5-10 days last year ... and I would expect the same or similar this year. And it's not always down to Disney. A lot of the timing has to do with how long it takes the card company to process the credit. In scenarios like this where the credit card processing centers have to...

Non-Dreams Unlimited Travel Agent Claims September Cruise Can’t Be Canceled Currently

I'm a TA, and I'm of the opinion that lying to or misleading my clients is a bad business model even if I'm doing it to try and preserve my own sanity or limit the overload at the call center. In truth, I absolutely CAN cancel a reservation for a September sailing and if my client asks me to do...

    Don't Wanna Be "That Guy"

Yeah. I don't there's going to be any way to know that kind of stuff until they actually get the resort up and running. They'll "play test" the thing to death, I'm sure.

    Don't Wanna Be "That Guy"

Look ... this experience is going to be housed in a small resort and focus on pretty narrow and specific experience and audience. Nobody's going to force anyone to do anything and I don't feel like there will be much exposure for the average theme park guest ... so it's going to be incredibly...

Things First Time Disney Cruise Line Cruisers Should Know | The DCL Show | 01/15/20

Don't know about iTunes, but on YouTube these DCL shows are showing up on the main DIS Unplugged channel. I know Pete will also be having some Dreams agents on the show in addition to the usual DIS crew in the future.

A couple of questions regarding travel agents, OBCs and making payments online

I've been with Dreams for almost three years now and 90% (or more) of my cruise clients use the online payment form instead of calling in their payment info. So, don't feel like you're the only one. The vast majority of my interaction with clients is by email, even though I make it very clear...

Beyond confused about morning-of transportation! Help!

Agree on all of this. If you're flying in day-of, you are better off with Disney's transportation because they keep track of you. But I don't recommend flying in the day of a cruise at all. Flight delays are all too common and it's just another thing to worry about.

Disney Wonder February 27-March 2 out of NOLA

Doesn't look like anyone has started organizing a fish extender exchange on this group so you might want to search Facebook and see if there are groups for this sailing. Those FB groups generally organize fish extenders as a matter of course.

So grateful Craig & Ryno are covering D23. I'm in the NEVER AGAIN club

My wife and I go every other D23. Even with a year off in between, every two years is too much for us ... and we go to a LOT of conventions supporting our daughter who is an independent artist. D23's are freaking manic ... especially the Disney Store, the D23 store and Mickey's of Glendale. We...

    Gift Basket From DU

Assuming you mean two people in one stateroom, in which case the basket would go to the lead guest's home. If you wish to do something different, let your agent know and they can communicate with the team that assembles and ships the baskets.

Alaska . . . is it really that great?

Yeah ... I love this reply. I've been to the Caribbean so many times and since I live near beaches in NC I'm over that stuff. Alaska is different. The excursions are awesome, largely nature based and we spend very little time in the actual port cities themselves ... and I've found that cruise...

Alaska . . . is it really that great?

Yeah ... it's Denali that everyone raves about. Generally accessible for cruises that port in Anchorage.

    Ferry to St. Thomas

I have. It's reliable by Caribbean standards ... which means, don't count on them sticking to a schedule too closely but they'll get you there and back.

5/13/19 Alaska Princess Cruise floatplane excursion has mid-air collision with another floatplane

Sure. There were a lot of worried folks though. Disney always leans towards caution, which makes sense. You might be able to book something at the dock if you still want to do it. I'd check out some recommendations beforehand though. In my case we're just giving it a pass this time around.
