We are also a family of 6. But my girls tend to be grazers. I'm surprised when they finish a meal. LOL

AOA or Cabin at Fort Wilderness for Family of 6

That was going to be my first option at a moderate or higher level resort, actually. Then, I found out they won't guarantee connecting rooms. :crazy2: Our oldest will only be 10 by the time we travel. While she is very responsible and mature for her age, I can't say the same about things one...

Ok, so considering an off site stay, how do you budget for meals? It's our very first trip, so I'm thinking the extra hours might be worth paying a premium for a Disney resort. We are now thinking either the Cabins or AOA Suite. . . I'm all over the place. I need a vacation from my vacation...

AOA or Cabin at Fort Wilderness for Family of 6

We will have a vehicle. We are driving down from my parent's house in Georgia for the week after my sister's Savannah wedding. I'm leaning more toward the Cabins because of the archery, horses, water ferry to MK, parking next to cabin, and being able to see the fireworks from the beach. We live...

Thanks for the advice! My girls were disappointed about a lack of slide at AOA. And the beach side parade and fireworks sounds amazing. How does one rent a golf cart? Will our family fit on one?

My husband, DD 10, DD 8, DD 7, DD 2 and myself are going to Disney World for the first time EVER. I've narrowed our choices down to AOA Nemo Suite or a Cabin at Ft Wilderness. We will be at Disney for 8 nights 9 days and plan to get either the Dining Plan or the Deluxe Dining Plan. Please help...

Update: I keep bouncing between the resorts. I'm so overwhelmed that sometimes I just want to go someplace else altogether and leave Disney for another trip. LOL Right now I'm considering Quidani Lodge 1 bedroom villa with Disney Dining ($9100), AOA nemo suite with deluxe dining ($8500), or Ft...

Thank you! Which deluxe are you book in this Fall? Which dining plan do you recommend? I saw that character experiences cost 2 meals, so we might need to get the deluxe plan with 3 meals.

I know, right?! We're going to the East Coast (from Hawaii) for her wedding the week before. She heard about our run and wouldn't hear about us asking one of our other friends in Orlando to stay with the girls. She won't be leaving for her honeymoon until the Summer.

Yes, I know what's expected in a vacation rental or the villas. BUUUUUUT in real life I'm also pretty frugal and having a kitchen available will actually tempt me to "pinch" and I'll end up just making something "fast" more often than not. LOL I can just picture it in my head. I'll be making...

My kids love the idea of the Nemo suite. But don't like the idea of no slide. We stay at Aulani every year for Mother's Day (thank you Kama'aina rates) and my girls love the pool area. I had to remind them that there aren't four different theme parks near Aulani and the pool is WHY we stay there...

We usually just stay in one room with our girls. They are pretty small, still. We also typically take cruises, so we are used to smaller than average rooms. I really wanted to get two rooms, but without guaranteeing connecting rooms that's off the table. I was looking at Port Orleans Riverside...
