    **November 2019 check in ***

SO and I are going next week Nov 12-15 staying at the Marriott Residence Inn convention location We went this exact week last year and due to Veterans + Canadian Remembrance day on the 11th it was a bit busy, but nothing that we can't handle with Maxpass and starting the day early. This will be...

LAX was NBD (Plus used Super Shuttle)

we always fly into LAX and have never experienced any of the nightmare I always read about. As much as we would prefer to fly into SNA it's significantly cheaper and we have more flight options available as we fly in from Canada

How much data does MaxPass use?

As a fellow Canadian, the wifi was pretty unreliable and we had to use data a lot (this was earlier in the year, not sure if it has improved by now). We found it was better financially to get our provider's international roaming plan ($7 a day with telus) rather than get the long distance...

1st Disneyland trip, and only for 1 day

You definitely do not need to stay onsite, it's crazy expensive and 2/3 hotels are just as far if not farther than many of the hotels on Harbor. As a solo adventurer you'll be able to accomplish a lot even if you're only there for a day. I recommend getting a park hopper since you're a WDW vet...

    November trip check in

SO and I will be there November 12-14, staying at the Marriott Residence by the convention center. Christmas is my favorite time of year for Disney and this will be SO's first time experiencing it so we're pretty excited. With maxpass and starting early we're confident we can still do everything...

Thinking of a trip second week of Dec 2019, are we crazy with Star wars opening in summer?

I would go for it! By December there will already be plenty of trip reports so you'll have a better idea of what to expect, and over 5 days I'm sure your group will be able to experience everything especially with MP. Plus Christmas at Disney is always worth it

    Which airport is best?

SNA would be my first choice, because it's only 20 minutes away an Uber or a shuttle will be a lot cheaper and it's a lot smaller. Coming in from Canada we find LAX is usually way cheaper though so we end up going there. It takes roughly an hour to get to Anaheim depending on traffic, and we've...

Disneyland will sell alcohol for the first time when Star Wars land opens in 2019

I wonder if they will extend this to their other restaurants, or could only legally limit to Star Wars Land (correct me if I'm wrong but I believe legally they could not get around Walt's liquor rules for Disneyland?) It would be nice when eating somewhere like Blue Bayou if you could have...

    Canadian Resident Tickets are back!

This is so exciting! DBF and I go to Disneyland for only two full parks days so we technically only save $20 US, however we gain EMH and a few extra hours in the parks before our flight home. We were able to use the promotion for our trip in February this year and are happily surprised to see it...

    Canadians Shopping at DisneyStore Online

8 year old thread but still relevant!! I placed an order last week for two sweaters and it would have cost me $40 US to ship to Canada, thank goodness I live close to the border and can ship it there

Anyone else on the fence about Maxpass?

Maxpass is another cost for convenience option, but definitely not required especially since free fastpasses are still available. There are only two of us so $20 a day was not a big deal and I have to admit we loved it. We could grab FP's for both parks no matter where we were, we could get new...

2 day hoppers or 3 day single park?

No, MM only comes if you stay at the Disney hotels or have 3+ day park tickets

2 day hoppers or 3 day single park?

It depends what you're wanting to do. We enjoy the rides the most and don't really care about parades/shows/character meets so two days with park hoppers is more than enough time to do everything we want and have a fun trip

    Peter Pan wait time question...

Honestly unless it's during peak season/crazy busy Peter Pan is usually always 30-40 minutes regardless what time of day it is, even during magic morning. While it's not that bad of a wait time my guess is that most people on the board use fast passes for rides and are used to practically...

    Getting from LAX to Disneyland

We’ve used Supershuttle the past few times and while it’s your best option if you’re on a budget it takes a really long time, probably about an hour and a half depending on how many stops you have. We will be taking an Uber this time, the higher price is worth the shorter trip in our opinion.

not reading a lot of complaining - parks can't be that bad right now?

We are going at the end of February and at first we were disappointed to hear about all the construction and closures, on top of shorter hours (only open until 8pm when we go) but the more we talked about it the more we realized there were still more positives than negatives: 1) We are going to...

Worth it to stay onsite at Disneyland?

I think if you have the funds, staying on site at DLR at least once would be amazing. But really most of the neighboring hotels are around 5-15 minute walking distance from the parks so we personally choose somewhere like the hilton or the sheraton.

When does the Canadian ticket deal expire?

Definitely a good deal, we only planned on two park days but the 3 day deal ended up being cheaper so now we can spend a couple of hours in the park before we head to the airport :cool1:

    Peter Pan confusion

While I enjoy the ride itself, I'm usually fine skipping it. The BF however loves it so we make it a priority and now have a tradition of saving it for the end of the night as we share a bowl of Gibson Girl ice cream while we wait in line, then take the scenic route as we leave the park (doing...

    Bag/purse suggestions

agree with all the PP about a crossbody purse, I find it more convenient because I can keep wearing it on the rides. Tried a backpack last trip but it got super annoying taking it on/off rides, buckling in, and shoving it into the small mesh ride compartments. I have a Coach messenger crossbody...
