    Pixar Fest- April 26-August 4

They were rehearsing for the parade after midnight when we were staying at VGC. I could just barely see the performers and what looked like the Luca and Inside Out floats as they went by Jumpin’ Jellyfish. Looking forward to seeing everyone’s thoughts on the parade package since we won’t be...

Back from a wonderful trip! Report and pictures. April 7-9

Yes, it’s at Plaza Inn. You meet Minnie with a Photopass photographer first, then other characters stop by your table throughout the meal. Food is buffet style inside, although some stations they serve your selections onto your plate instead of getting food yourself.

What to Drink That Isn't SUGAR?

The drinks tend to run too sweet for us too. I like to get cups of ice water and extra cups and dilute, which also saves us money and we can have 2-3 drinks instead of 1. At the soda fountains or freestyle machines, I’ll dilute with plain or sparkling water.

Back from a wonderful trip! Report and pictures. April 7-9

Thanks for sharing and glad you had an amazing trip! I agree, we did Minnie’s breakfast for the first time recently and it was such a fun experience. We also had a porch table and saw 9 characters, most of them multiple times as they went in and out of the nearby door. The kids didn’t eat a ton...

Help me wrap my brain around rider switch.

This is true… we typically have things stacked up / accelerating so we don’t usually run into that.

    Fishing,accelerating modifying and MEP

We have rider switch in conjunction with MEPs often and haven’t run into this issue that I’ve noticed. We are going again soon so I’ll try to pay extra attention to see how things get used. We always scan using our MB+ rather than using our phones.

Disneyland for 4th of July - worth it?

Last year was really crowded. We ate a bit late and were trying to find somewhere to watch from. They wouldn’t let us go to Main Street, Small World, or Galaxy’s Edge due to them being full already and we found our way over to Rivers of America which was the only area we could get to. It was so...

Disneyland for 4th of July - worth it?

We often go for the week of July 4th. The week in general has been very doable and not as packed as busier times of year (like October). The actual evening of July 4th can be extremely crowded in DL though. We were there last year and it was hard to even move around. If you plan to watch the...

    Princess Breakfast at Napa Rose

Would love to hear about your experience as well as how the food is and what princesses you meet! We are doing this one for the first time soon on our spring break trip. Seems pricey but I’d like to do it while my kids are still at a good age for princesses. We’re staying at VGC and doing it the...

    Plaza Inn chicken question...

Yes, you can just walk up and order the meal for lunch or dinner. No mobile order there, and no reservations necessary. You just get your food, pay, and find a table indoors or outdoors. Plaza Inn only takes reservations for breakfast (character dining) or special packages (like the Magic...

Is Ohana really that bad now?

Same, ours was around noon and the food was hot and fresh. They were still very busy that day since it was after the 10K.

Help me wrap my brain around rider switch.

Okay.. our experience is not consistently the same is yours. We use Rider Switch often for many rides, and sometimes it is not the CM standing right there that issues it. Sometimes it’s a CM around the side - for example, this happened at BTMR and we had to wait our turn. We’ve also had times...

Best months for 7 month booking success at VGC or VDH???

I used to book at 7 months a lot for VGC. It was easiest to book during the summer months, and runDisney weekends are the hardest (can even be challenging at 11 months).

Help me wrap my brain around rider switch.

It depends. We do Rider Switch very often and sometimes we have to wait in a line to get the Rider Switch added. We typically travel during school breaks so the parks are busy. They don’t necessarily need to setup Rider Switch for their situation, unless they really are always showing up at a...

Help me wrap my brain around rider switch.

Since you have enough adults you don’t really need to spend time setting up Rider Switch. The first group goes, then the second group goes, and if you all have Genie+ both groups already go through the LL. In our case, we always setup Rider Switch since we have 1-2 kids too little to ride some...

Thinking of adding on at Riviera…..questions for those that own there.

No regrets. Love it whenever we stay there. The Boardwalk area is my favorite and we love Epcot and HS, but we wanted to add on at RIV since BWV (which we also own) has a much shorter contract. Bought direct since we wanted to be able to combine with our other points. The Skyliner is better than...

Is Ohana really that bad now?

We recently went there for breakfast for the first time since our kids adore Stitch. I feel like it was worth it for the whole experience for the kids, since they were so excited the entire meal, and Stitch was great with them. The food wasn’t as varied or exciting as some other character meals...

Best double stroller to purchase ahead of skyliner resort trip?

I agree, we also have a City Select with glider board and have really liked it for the parks. It works great on the Skyliner. Side by side strollers need to be folded for the Skyliner. We’ve brought our side by side when not staying at a Skyliner resort, and we really missed our City Select...

Hard time at a DVC resort

This is a fun topic I missed before! I need a prison with a spa. If anywhere, Aulani in an OV GV. The food, spa, beach, activities, weather… I could be happy there for a long, long time. If WDW, VGF in a GV. Even though it’s a small spa, it still has a spa, plus all the dining options (V&A!!)...
