It’s the first non-POT corral plus CrD, probably got maxed out with so many people saying they’d have the pace for it. I think it’s also only an issue with the 10 miler, as the other race weekends have two (maybe three soon?) POT corrals?

Not exactly sure what the reason for the speed vs. enjoyment post was but I will note that there is a motivating factor for I would guess a decent number of runners: getting a POT for future RD races. This is probably the last weekend that runners were able to try for new POTs for Wine and Dine...

The value of not allowing your competitor to use a massive IP can’t be overstated. That’s Wakanda in AK, or an Avengers Campus in HS. We could have easily had both by now. Instead Disney got very lucky with Guardians blowing up, not sure what they would have done otherwise.

Maybe one more for 2:30-2:40? Looking at it again I think the time limit should be 2:40 (16 min per mile from balloon lady start), not sure how that would be reflected in the choices and the corrals though.

It is ummm... a very unorthodox design. I've seen testing vids in Orlando and it seemed slower than I would have expected it to run. But it's testing!

Big (non-Disney) news from Japan: Donkey Kong area of USJ, originally scheduled to open sometime this Spring, now delayed until late this year. Curious as to what caused the delay, been very quiet over there and we don't have the benefit of a Bioreconstruct flying over regularly to provide updates.

Seems like a bad idea to charge for early booking when they can just bake it into the inevitable price increase that’ll happen when the holidays roll in. So I think the latter is more likely, but who knows.
