    Pool heating in early May?

Quick question for all you Orlando junkies :sunny: Would you pay for pool heating at a private villa for the first two weeks in May? I'm leaning towards yes, but it's a little over £300 (gbp) so i wanted to check first. We are coming from the UK and will mostly be using the pool at the end of...

    How much is sales tax?

Thanks so much everyone. I thought it was around 7% but all the different areas confuse the life out of me. Dina i had no idea there could be different tax areas within Disney. Good to know. I thought the airport was all tax free before and got caught out on a bottle of coke x

    How much is sales tax?

Google is not playing ball with me, lol. Could someone please confirm what percent sales tax is right now? Also, do you know if it is likely to increase by May 2018? I'm from the UK so tax is already included in all of our prices. Just trying to get an idea on spending money, etc. Thanks in...

    Honeymoon advice for May 2018

I would say I could afford about $100pp not including tax. Though the cheaper things are, the more I could do. Thank you all for your help. I'm thinking about the Star Wars dessert party. It has some pretty great reviews. As well as a tour, probably KTTK. I've never been to any of the resorts...

    Honeymoon advice for May 2018

My DH(34) and I(31) will be honeymooning in Florida from the UK. We land late-ish on Monday 30th of April and don't have to leave for the airport until about 4pm on Monday 14th May so we have 2 amazing weeks ahead of us. We're staying in a villa offsite and have a car. We will be doing Disney...

    Common advice ignored

I stay offsite in a villa and last time we never made it to rope drop. My man loves his sleep and it actually works better for us to have a lay in until 9 or 10, depending on the night before, get up, get ready and head out somewhere for a great breakfast. Then we get to the parks for 11-12 and...

Do a lot of people wear "athletic" wear to the parks?

Can i ask, those of you who wear dresses, what shoes do you normally wear? I love wearing dresses but firstly I was worried about my skirt blowing up, though boy shorts can fix that, but secondly I have no idea what shoes to wear. I would usually go with sandals, flip flops or maybe converse...

Do a lot of people wear "athletic" wear to the parks?

It's totally acceptable. Once you look for it you'll notice lots of people wearing it. Capri leggings are really popular even if they aren't designed for sports. An athletic top is actually really smart because they are designed to deal with sweat and keep you cool. Plus they dry fast if you're...

    Sun screen

I'll be taking some with me. A small bottle. I'm usually ok but my DH is really fair and burns easily. I wouldn't want to risk waking the grump in him If you didn't want a bag you could bring a mini sized one and put it in a pocket. Or if you are not particularly a burner you could put a higher...

    Packing

My brother once forgot to take any underwear, lmao. One great thing about Florida is you can buy pretty much anything, as long as you have anything such as medication, passports, money, etc, you should be absolutely fine. I am a huge list maker personally, but one of my favourite things in...

    Privately booked villas

I have been in the Standard Villa's through Virgin and loved it. They are private with at least 3 bedrooms and a private pool. I've never had a problem with them. They are usually 20-25 minutes from Disney and Universal, but an easy drive. I love the space and the privacy. It's easier to eat...
