    Vegan/Vegetarian Restaurant/Dining Help Thread

I don't believe that $25/person is possible at any table service unless you mean before tax and tip and assuming you only drink water. For quick service: Gasparilla Grill at grand floridian is amazing and has a special vegan menu that you can ask to see from most CM's in the kitchen area...

    Do Not Disturb Gone! (BLT)

Hey all. I'm super happy to see this thread pulling back toward sanity -- it was sounding like a feedback loop of folks trying to make each other crazy and paranoid for a while there. My situation that I described earlier in this thread is true and is most definitely a significant intrusion. A...

    Do Not Disturb Gone! (BLT)

I've clipped the parts with which I strongly disagree. 1) What can be fixed once your friend is already home? Your friend needs to talk to a manager NOW, while they're still at the resort. As I've said in other posts, I hope your friend can stay cool and calm and describe what happened and what...

Vegan at WDW with the dining plan...

Yes! Do it! It's super easy to eat vegan at Disney World! Please search for blogs (i know there's a whole website dedicated to eating vegan at disney) and also cruise over to the vegan/vegetarian dining thread. A few folks like me try to exhaustively list things we found so others don't have to...

    Do Not Disturb Gone! (BLT)

I did have a conversation with management about the situation on my recent trip. You can read about it on page 41 of this thread (post number 815), I believe. I think my conversation was productive and I absolutely believe that they're working out the specifics of what this policy is, and how...

    Do Not Disturb Gone! (BLT)

Good afternoon, all. Unfortunately, I encountered an issue concerning these security checks on my recent trip. On Friday, Jan 12, we spent the morning at Epcot. We returned to our room at Port Orleans Riverside at about 2:20pm for a nap. I veered off toward a designated smoking area and, when my...

    Vegan/Vegetarian Restaurant/Dining Help Thread

Good morning everyone! Just got back on Saturday night from a short trip to the World. This trip was for my Princess' birthday so all of our plans were built around having a rental car and spending most of a day visiting the manatees at Crystal River, which is about a 1.5 hour drive from Disney...

    Vegan/Vegetarian Restaurant/Dining Help Thread

I found cinnamon glazed almonds at a snack cart in Magic Kingdom that were vegan. Idk if that recipe (or vendor?) ever changes so you'll probably want to check ingredients for yourself (ask to see the binder) but they were served warm and with enough nuts to share. I was paying OOP but I...

Can we use dining credits before we check in the hotel?

60 days in advance of your check-in. Have a magical vacation! :) Edited: Oops! Rich M not only beat me to it, but also had a more correct answer!

    Free Refill @ Quick Serve

Blaze pizza in Disney Springs has free refills on sodas and their specialty Aguas Frescas and Lemonades. Also very good pizza. For me and my better half, this is now the *best* quick service option in all of Disney World.

It's tortilla chips with black beans on them. There's a toppings bar to add guac and salsa and maybe a few other things (maybe olives and onions, if I remember right?) So yeah, not a good meal and Pecos Bill's queue setup is the same as Cosmic Ray's so you're totally in the way and making way...

Can we use dining credits before we check in the hotel?

Are you doing online check-in? If so, and if the magicbands you're bringing are correctly setup on appropriate accounts with PINs set and all that other good stuff, then 100% it will work. If you're doing check-in at the front desk then I'm really not sure. I'd assume it still *should* work...

    Vegan/Vegetarian Restaurant/Dining Help Thread

Not to be a downer, but (imho) the answer is no. The place is very nearly a food desert. And it's even more depressing for vegans. My best trick for dealing with MK food is to limit my time in the park and make arrangements for a meal at one of the Monorail resorts. I'm sorry you can't do BoG...

Paying for Starbucks coffee @ WDW?

I know for sure that both Starbucks locations at Disney Springs accept Starbucks gift cards. I'm frequently given gift cards from parents of my students and I've made a habit of bringing them with me to WDW where I've never had a problem using them. I'd assume other Starbucks locations like...

    Grocery stores/delivery near Windsor Palms

I'm bad at geography so I had to google maps it, but are you using 34747? Because I just checked that zip code a second ago and it's definitely showing me that Prime Now is available there. (I just had to check because it felt weird thinking that somehow disney and amazon made a deal to stop the...

    Grocery stores/delivery near Windsor Palms

On my most recent trip, I discovered the joy of Amazon Prime Now. Filled my "basket" a few days in advance, hit the $35 minimum so there was no shipping charge, proceeded with the order from my cell phone in our departure airport, and got the message that my stuff had been delivered to the hotel...

Hey, may I ask you a question....

Magical Star Cocktail... ...at 1/5th of the price! I like doing this around the holidays when there's a fire in the fireplace and lots of other pretty glowing lights and candles around...also a great drink to serve when you're announcing that you're going back to WDW on a surprise trip... :) 2...

Yes, you will generally need to request it. Pretty much every Disney restaurant uses a shared fryer by default but most locations also have an allergy-friendly fryer available and they will use it for you only if you request it since it's out of the way of their normal process (though they may...

    (2014-2020) Disney's GRAND FLORIDIAN RESORT & SPA + VILLAS Information & Questions

I generally think higher floors have better views, though there are probably exceptions to that. I mostly request upper floors when booking lodging out of habit -- if it's an old building rooms on lower floors sometimes come with people stomping around above you! Obviously, a beautiful newer...

Talk to me about staying off site...pros and cons

I know experiences vary wildly, but for me it's the CMs that matter most. There's just no match for Disney hospitality. I've stayed at two different Disney Springs hotels and found that both of them had awful transportation to parks. The timing of buses and lack of information was bad, but the...
