    Vitamin D

I've been taking a Vitamin D supplement since March, though my doctor suggested I take one even earlier since I live in a city and do not get much natural sunlight. Especially now that, prior to visiting the suburbs, I was rarely leaving my house, the Vitamin D seemed especially important! I...

NY Travel Advisory starting 11/4. NJ & CT have separate lists now

Another thing to consider is that NYC has an extremely dense population, but once we DID realize how awful it was and what we could do to flatten the curve, we DID flatten it. We basically had to learn FOR everyone else. I went out for errands this morning in my busy Queens neighborhood and I'd...

NBA players complain about food and accommodations at WDW

I agree it comes off as tone deaf, I am just surprised by the extent of the vitriol, and the hand waving at these players being expected to perform non-essential services simply because they get paid well for them. It's odd, is all!

NY Travel Advisory starting 11/4. NJ & CT have separate lists now

And I will also say, having had the opportunity to leave my city for the suburbs where my parents live was really a huge boost for me, and something I feel very lucky to be able to do. I think everyone should be able to do this if they can, so hopefully more states get it together so that doing...

NBA players complain about food and accommodations at WDW

I agree with you. However, that is not how the situation is being handled for the people involved in this industry, which is part of why I think it's weird that people are acting like the people involved aren't allowed to decompress with a complaint or two.

NY Travel Advisory starting 11/4. NJ & CT have separate lists now

I'm happy that the tri-state area is mostly on the same page about this, as travel between the three states themselves is common and it would be difficult if they were not. Also, I am in one of the states and going back to the other, so I'm relieved that it's mostly being managed in the same way...

Now I've seen everything: St Louis couple comes out of their house and points guns at protesters marching in front of their street

So, if someone came onto your property, you would shoot them? If you were on someone else's property and perhaps didn't realize it (possible in some areas!), would you expect to be shot?

NBA players complain about food and accommodations at WDW

Yes, difficult decisions. Men are choosing whether or not they are going to leave their pregnant wives alone to be with their teams because they don't want to risk bringing the virus back to them. Young players who are making the minimum, which is still an okay amount of money to you and me, but...

NBA players complain about food and accommodations at WDW

By whom? By the professional sports leagues who are deciding to move forward with all of this as if there isn't a pandemic going on and having guys sweating and breathing all over one another isn't a huge risk, especially for the ones like MLB where they AREN'T living in seclusion. It may not be...

NBA players complain about food and accommodations at WDW

Exaaaactly. I'm not disagreeing that the whining is not the best look, but these guys are aware of how they are representing themselves, and the main reason people are taking issue is because they are rich and have a fun job. And like, no, having little choice but to go be quarantined with your...

I am curious if the beds are long enough for seven foot tall guys too. Maybe they are cranky because they are sleepy.

NBA players complain about food and accommodations at WDW

Ehhh, did any of them quit and go home? They are doing it and they were sharing what the situation was. The tone policing is worse than the actual posts at this point.

Coming from NY. This is horrible

Yes to the PTSD. I live in a quiet neighborhood, so the sirens stood out so much. I was incredibly tightly wound about certain things, and it took time to relax from that once I got out of the city. I will be going back soon and am a bit nervous about "reverting" as the city is not what it was...

Coming from NY. This is horrible

Exactly. I don't think people realize how bad things got in New York in April, I didn't really realize myself until I got out of the city. And we did NOTHING. I barely left my house for six weeks straight. You can reference some of my posts here from that time! I can only imagine how awful these...

NBA players complain about food and accommodations at WDW

Any one of these guys can opt not to play and the owners will lose out, so I'm not sure what the benefit of doing that would be. People forget... not ALL athletes are mega millionaires. We're seeing this with baseball also, a few men are opting to forfeit their salaries and not play this...

NBA players complain about food and accommodations at WDW

I would hope they are getting paid for the risk they are taking a time when they probably shouldn’t be playing. And I don’t think any of THEM are complaining about the their posts getting picked up, I personally think the response to the complaints reflects more on the responder than the complainer.

NBA players complain about food and accommodations at WDW

Do they really want any more sympathy than people here do when they can't get chicken fingers for their child's 5th straight day at their restaurant of choice? Or are they just being like "huh, this isn't what I expected and it could be better!" and sharing it because that is what people do on...

NBA players complain about food and accommodations at WDW

I really don't see what is shameful or immature about it, but go off, I guess. This reads very much like a "these people make money and therefore have no valid complaints" and that's gross to me.

NBA players complain about food and accommodations at WDW

Or, they were told everything was being taken care of and this is what they were met with? That seems pretty likely. It's not up to the individual athletes to arrange their own nutrition in this scenario. Also, LeBron was eating tacos, so clearly there's some disconnect going on here.

Coming from NY. This is horrible

As someone who lives in NYC, you better bet I don't want anyone going to Florida and then coming back and wandering around like they hadn't gone anywhere.
