    Leftover Groceries

We recently stayed at Coronado and there was a bunch of water and gatorade in the hall with a note that said "FREE".

    Displeased with Disney Travel Agent

Another vote for cancelling and rebooking yourself- I used a TA that I was less than pleased with but that is because she was the opposite and did NOTHING for me- I knew more about my options from asking questions here on this forum, so I just felt like it was a waste to even use her. Yours...

Disney's CORONADO SPRINGS RESORT Information & Questions

Just back from a 5 night stay. We were with our team for a cheer competition and were housed in Cabanas 8B (room 8220) which are Standard rooms. Two Queen beds, double vanity, shower and bath tub. Overall, the room was comfortable and spacious, lots of storage space, including under the bed...

Disney's CORONADO SPRINGS RESORT Information & Questions

I would be shocked if the tower housed any of the cheer conventions. They typically reserve only standard rooms. We are headed there the day after tomorrow for our cheer competition and it is all Standard Rooms. I think the Tower will be a nicer category and not simply standard.

    New Disney Park Rules-Anyone Know?

Can you just fill up a few ziplock freezer bags with ice cubes and use those? Much easier than lugging a big bag of ice to dump over food once you are in the parks. Then you can recycle the ziplocks each day. If you are staying on site you can fill them at the hotel ice machinces

Planning our dream trip to Disney World. Help please!

One more option to really save and go all out on extras is to book the new tower at Coronado Springs which is a moderate and get a suite with Club Level access there. The rooms look really nice online and less $$ than the Deluxe.

Planning our dream trip to Disney World. Help please!

We did our "Trip of a lifetime" Thanksgiving week and stayed Club Level at The Grand Floridian. Spent less than your 12K budget. We booked a Standard Room, Club Level Access and it was only $200 more for the entire WEEK than our original Theme Park View room. Club Level was the BEST-...

Cheerleading "Summit" in May- If you have attended

Once you arrive at your hotel and check in, you will get your reservation number and Varisty will give you your tickets. You can link these to any magic Band you have that is linked to your MDE account.

Cheerleading "Summit" in May- If you have attended

I heard the admission fees included in the Varsity package are on the ticket you get (the plastic one they give you). You can add your park tickets to the Magic Bands you are given at check-in, but you need the hard plastic ticket to get into ESPN as those cannot be added to your MBs for some...

    Cheerleading Summit May 3-5

Unfortunately you cannot get a reservation number until you check in- which is terrible because w/o that we can't schedule FP, etc. I too have had a really hard time not being able to plan anything and we only get our Magic Bands at check-in. Only then can we get our tickets and link them and...

    Cheerleading Summit May 3-5

We are heading down for D2 Summit the following week (arrive May 8). Here is what I know: Depending on the resort you are staying at, there are different places to check in. Varsity posted an orientation video for Summit. In the video, they talk about everything from arrival at MCO to...

May 7 to May 14 will it be crazy?

It's "big" but not compared to Summit. For example, the block schedule for Summit is several pages long and the block schedule for D2 is only a few pages long- so a LOT fewer competitors. That being said, my DD's team (youth level 1) is competing against 63 other teams on Friday, so that is...

May 7 to May 14 will it be crazy?

We are competing Friday May 10 and there are comps ALL DAY from 8 am to 10:30 PM. Comps again all say Saturday and most of Sunday. MK is hosting a party for all the cheerleaders on Sunday night from 10PM-2am, after park closing.

May 7 to May 14 will it be crazy?

We will be there that exact time for DD's cheer competition. The impact on the parks will be minimal, as our weekend is jam packed with practices and competition. We have very limited time at the parks because the schedule is so tight. There WILL be impact on the resort pools and dining...

Disney's CORONADO SPRINGS RESORT Information & Questions

We stayed Club Level for the first time during our November trip (at GF) and I am not sure I can ever go back to standard. Seriously, to be able to eat a full breakfast every morning before heading out to the parks, as well as snacks available all day and alcohol and appetizers at night...

Disney's POP CENTURY RESORT Information & Questions

Did you book through the Varsity package or on your own? If you booked through Varisty, there are buses specifically for athletes and parents who bought the packages. If not, you will need to Uber/Lyft/car pool. There are not buses that regularly run between the resorts and ESPN.

    D2 Cheer Summit. Anyone been?

YES!! I actually never check luggage but we discussed this at our last meeting to make sure all girls have all their uniform components in their carry-ons.

    D2 Cheer Summit. Anyone been?

Funny, I was all stressed out about this as well, especially since DD is missing 2 says of State Testing. In the end, I sent a simple email to her teachers and just said her competitive cheer team qualified for a competition on X dates and unfortunately she will be away. They were fine with...

Where are you staying and why?

We are staying at CSR b/c my DD is there for a cheer competition. We got to select Value or Moderate and then were assigned to either CSR or CBR- just found out they are housing us at CSR. After seeing the resort online, I am getting excited. We have only even stayed Deluxe (GF, BC, and AKL)...

Ran into an issue with trip 2 months away. Any advice would help

Sounds like you have gotten some good advice already. Another fun thing you could do is call over to Fort Wilderness and arrange a horse-drawn carriage ride. You can also do that at POR. That would be super romantic (at least for me).
