And a great thing was you could adjust your approach based on the situation. We would take friends who wanted to do it all. So we would refresh, refresh, pull all day getting as many as possible. Other friends had specific targets and we would use drop times to make that happen. We also had days...

And we used It a bit differently. Which made it great because you and I both used it, in different ways. And it worked for both of us. That's why I liked it.

Fp+ was a good system. The fact it was free made it even more interesting. However, the majority of park goers got their 3 and left it at that. Your regulars and ap holders understood how to maximize it.

Lots of people with no physical or visible conditions use DAS. Anxiety, panic attacks, autistic, etc. It is actually used more for that purpose

You do have to answer some questions. Sea world/busch and Uni follow the same policies as well and ask the same questions when you apply for it. When there was fp, we rarely used DAS, but without it, we do, as due to a medical condition for a family member, Standing for long periods creates...

Agreed. Everyone knows who needs to be the guy in charge and that's Josh. I firmly believe he is the future, but that future needs to happen soon. Chapek was expected to be that experience who could get them through and be the conduit to get to Josh. My opinion is he is failing. MISERABLY

State of Fast Pass Return (or replacement)

Yes. There has always been a standalone program on the old platform and new that handles recovery passes, DAS, and Club benefits. It is not reliant on anything else for it to work. But FP+ was reliant on some other programs and on the new one, just had to be integrated with the reservations. So...

I'd say your assessment is correct

Take it for what it is. It isnt quite that simplistic. This is the sum of a lot of issues all at once biting a company in the rear. Upper management bears the weight of it. Increasing capacity too quickly Not spending money on a platform that would be more manageable Wavering on decisions that...

FWIW... I can pass this along. The dissatisfaction with the experience due to increased wait times because of capacity is being heard at the top levels of mgmt and they are getting antsy about the current view of the WDW brand. That concern is filtering to IT and Finance to agree on a solution...

State of Fast Pass Return (or replacement)

The decision is indeed made at a higher level, though once they make a decision, Finance has to approve it and IT has to implement. So they tend to know time frames well ahead of anyone else. That being said, and Apologies in advance, some information passed my way I can't post. Exact dates or...

It's the new one. It's still a ways off because the other 2 programs it needs to be able to work with haven't even been able to work with it in the test environment. Unless they decide to roll it out sloppy and piecemeal. Which wouldn't surprise me

State of Fast Pass Return (or replacement)

Yes. FP+ has passed all tests on the new platform with all corresponding programs integrated This is the first time the "other" system has passed live test with other programs integrated at the same time.

Test passed with 2 additional programs integrated. As the data stream built it became shaky but managed to hold with slight delays in data processing for the duration of the test. They did not reach the data stream levels planned for but the overall opinion is that it was successful. It still...

Apologies if my comment about IT was taken the wrong way. I was not so successfully trying to explain the IT talent they have is good. The platform they invested in is not. They should've spent more on a more workable platform so the talent they have in IT could actually make their ideas work

For those slamming WDW IT, it isnt the people that are the problem.

State of Fast Pass Return (or replacement)

They haven't managed to program the new platform for anything other than reservations. All other integrations have failed or programs that work with them have failed.

State of Fast Pass Return (or replacement)

Not all of it. Just specific projects because of the implementation. And none of what they outsourced has anything to do with platform testing and integration.

They could roll them out with the fp+, as they are not reliant on one another. But prior to the implementation of a new fp system the ap program would need to be modified as they have intersection points. I believe it would delay ap rollout to coincide with a new fp system. Realistically, they...

I'm thinking fp+ is coming back in the interim which would push the new fp system to 2022 as well as corresponding programs.
