    Westin Anaheim

For what it's worth the walk up Disneyland Dr to DTD is much more pleasant than walking up South Harbor. No bus stops. No transients. No vendors. No driveways to cross. It is a longer walk to get to Disneyland Dr than S Harbor from the esplanade. The esplanade isn't centered and cheats east...

    Disney Wish Spirit Jersey

I got off 8/11 and I for sure saw the magenta and gold one. Looked fairly well stocked at the time. Hope this helps. Good luck.

    This summer compared to last

I just got back yesterday from a 3 day trip over the weekend and I can tell you anectotally that the parks felt much less crowded than I expected. There were times in the late afternoon/early evening where Radiator Springs Racer was only 55 mins, Space Mountain was 45, Big Thunder was 35, Indy...

Is the queue still showing sales temporarily suspended for those of you that never made it to the purchase screen?

I got GCH this morning - deciding between that and the westin - help please

I may have missed it but I'm curious which hotel the OP ended up picking. I just got back from Veterans Day weekend and finally stayed at the Westin. Went a month ago for Halloween and stayed at VGC. It's nice to finally be able to compare the two. The Westin was a beautiful property. The...

The Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Owners & Lovers Group - 2.0

Thanks. I didn’t know this. Too bad there aren’t any OBB on my travel dates. Good to know for the future though

The Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Owners & Lovers Group - 2.0

Wait are you saying that you were able to get Oogie Boogie Bash tickets as a VGC guest on site after it’s already been sold out?

When did DL security become so tight?

For what it's worth the dogs working at DL are very good, especially the ones going after explosives and gun powder residue. Went with a friend of mine and the dog hit on her backpack. She went shooting a few days prior and used the same backpack. My friend is a K9 handler for the DEA and...

As sad as it is deep down I think you’re right.

Spring Early Summer Resort Hotel Discounts just dropped!

I think the PP pool is down till May 7th (don't quote me) and they'll let you use the DLH pool. Don't know if you're gonna use the pool If it's 100 bucks more total I think it's totally worth it to stay in the bubble.

    DVC/Universal Side Trip Question

Thanks for all the replies. Never thought about booking a room just for express pass for two days. I think the math does work out for me. Ended up adding two nights at Copper Creek. The packing and unpacking would just be too much with all the little ones.

    Recommended offsite restaurants?

Yes there’s “safe” food options there for kids. I brought my then 6 and 4 year olds there. I wanna say there’s a grilled cheese place as soon as you walk in. OP if you go to the Packing District I recommend Kettle Bar for cajun. The pan roast is amazing.

    DVC/Universal Side Trip Question

Hi all. Looking for opinions. Coming to WDW for six night in August. Booked a 2 BR at Copper Creek. After I booked the wife wanted to add a couple of Universal days on the front end. Initially I was thinking of staying on site for two nights at Universal to take advantage of the express pass...

    Favorite Non-Disney Accommodations?

No you're right. What I'm saying is comparable is the distance to the DTD security checkpoint from Katella/Disneyland Dr where the Westin is and the distance to the S Harbor security check point from Katella/S Harbor where the Hyatt House/Hilton Garden Inn is. You are right that once you go...

    Favorite Non-Disney Accommodations?

Sorry someone had mentioned staying at the new Westin so that's what was in my head when I wrote that. The Westin is pretty much at Katella and Disneyland Dr, so walking from there to the DTD gate is the same distance as walking from the hotels at S Harbor and Katella, like the Hyatt House, to...

    Favorite Non-Disney Accommodations?

I think the DTD security checkpoint is almost always quicker than Harbor. The walk to and from the park would albe more peaceful. The Disneyland Drive walk from Katella to DTD is the same distance from S Harbor/Katella to the S Harbor gate. But there aren’t any businesses on Disneyland Drive so...

    Favorite Non-Disney Accommodations?

What kind of park visitor are you? Do you plan on hanging out at the hotel or is it just somewhere to sleep? Solo traveler or couple or kids? And also how much do you wanna spend. There really are a lot of options so knowing those would help with a good recommendation.
