    Help me pick a resort?

Hi all. My mom and I are looking to head to Disney in early May. We went for the first time in October of 2018. Someone we know was gracious enough to give us their DVC points and we stayed at OKW and Saratoga Springs in a split stay. We want to head back to Disney but we are on a budget. We...

    Best time to visit?

I visited Disney World for the first time October 2018. We are looking to return in 2020. School isn't an issue so we can go at any time. How is early May? Are there any school groups or youth sports then? Have heard those can be a bit of annoyance. Thanks.

Winnie the Pooh voice actor accused of rape and animal abuse

It's just his word against hers. Not enough evidence to form an opinion.

Anyone want to plan my NYC trip for me? (Aka: why isn't this Disney?)

I live in NJ, super close to NYC. I have heard that "The Ride" isn't really all that exciting. I have never done it for that reason. Some shows I've seen that maybe he would like are, King Kong, The Lion King, Aladdin, Wicked, Hamilton, Beetle Juice (very funny. has some adult humour and some...

My fast pass day is tommorow.

I would do it on the website. The tickets should be linked. I would call and get it sorted before the fast pass window opens.

    Bibbidi Bobbidi hairstyle

They use a lot of hairspray to keep it in place. I imagine without any hairspray at all it won't stay in during a long day in the park. I would think it would fall out fast and be a waste of money.

    Shoes for water parks

I used these for 2 days at a waterpark and a week at the beach. Loved them and cheap. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B079M328DC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

    Kids sports/extra curriculars and $$$

Maybe in the future, it will be more time but OP said now the commitment is only 9hrs. I did competitive dance and trained easily trained 20+hrs a week. There was no time for any other activity. If you think about it through your commitment is only to one year or season. We had girls overwhelmed...

    Kids sports/extra curriculars and $$$

I don't understand the "future Olympian" comment. I know competitive gymnastics is a well-known sport for girls across the country. Of course, all of those parents don't see their child going to the Olympics. Because she isn't going to the Olympics it's not worth the money? If she enjoys, is...

    Kids sports/extra curriculars and $$$

This! I was a competitive dancer for 10 years! My parents spent a fortune on my dance. I am in my mid 20's now. We still talk about my dance life everyday. It taught me so much. My parents had no regrets paying for it.

    SSR/OKW comparison

We did a split stay at OKW and SSR. We much preferred OKW. My mom was in an ECV also. We called and let them know and we got a room on the bottom floor no problem. Very beautiful resort.

    Pit-Bull's...friend or foe?

I would not want a pit bull around my dogs. If a pitbull enters the dog park I kindly take my dogs and leave. I hear too many stories about pitbulls particularly mauling people to death. Not a risk I want to take.

    What grinds your gears?

Ok my other pet peeve is when people go through the 10 items or less line at the grocery store with way more than 10 items!

    What grinds your gears?

Oh gosh! LOL! My other pet peeve is people who get way too worked up over things on the internet. When I see a family with all their offspring at a restaurant with the children all with an iPad, headphones on, I don't say anything. I do sigh and think it's pretty comical when Johnny is bought...

    What grinds your gears?

Well actually I'm only in my early 20's so I don't know how "old" I am considered lol! When I was younger at a restaurant my entertainment was the children's menu with the little games. Or I drew in a notebook. For me that was enough to be entertained, it was enough for my brother, my cousins...

    What grinds your gears?

Electronics should be a treat, not a crutch to people lacking parenting skills. Also this post is about pet peeves. None of these impact us truly. But thanks lol.

    What grinds your gears?

People who allow their children to misbehave and act up in restaurants. Parents who use ipads/iphones to babysit their kids.

"Go Find a Table and I'll wait in line"

Again, I would not order food at an establishment before I knew whether or not I had a seat. I would never wait till I have a tray of food to then be searching for a table. If I went somewhere to eat and spent time waiting it out for a table, I would take my food to go or simply go eat somewhere...

"Go Find a Table and I'll wait in line"

Oh gosh. I can tell this post struck something in you. I don' travel alone, especially in NYC. I have someone to either stand in line or find a table. I travel to nyc often and eat at popular quick service places. It is normal to share a table with strangers. You actually have more luck to find...

    Old Key West

I loved OKW. We stayed in a one bedroom villa. It was very beautiful and beachy.
