We stayed there a few years back and they were slowly renovating the rooms, lobby had already been done. It wasn't bad for the price and the shuttles ran pretty regularly and it was nice that it was a dedicated shuttle. We didn't use the pool we basically used the room to sleep.

I miss the entertainment that the parks had for many years and they have been slowly disappearing for years. They used to do a daytime parade twice a day, a live band in Tomorrowland, shows in the fantasyland theater and a nighttime parade twice nightly. The parks at night were so magical, sadly...

I believe the laundry room on the first floor is in the dvc wing, the bigger laundry area is on the 2nd floor in the section of the hotel past storytellers, go thru the door take the elevator to the 2nd floor turn left and it is right there,

Under normal conditions bookings for the following year usually opened up in September. That's when I would make ours for the following summer.

They actually changed it to reservations only before covid, don't know if they are keeping it that way or not. We did ours in the summer of 2019 and there was literally no wait so I don't get why they made it reservations only.
