    Fall-ing in love with a Universal/Disney COVID adjusted trip (sept 24-oct 4)

Im sorry I have been MIA! Work has been busy and I stupidly decided to take a class this semester. But all that has calmed down now, so i'll try to get more written this week

    Fall-ing in love with a Universal/Disney COVID adjusted trip (sept 24-oct 4)

Ok guys, we are back! It was overall a good trip and I'll try to be as detailed as possible. Monday Sept 28th, part 1 I, as usual, woke up before everyone but tried to remain quiet to let everyone get a bit more sleep. My goal was to try to be out of Cabana Bay (our Universal Hotel) around...

    Fall-ing in love with a Universal/Disney COVID adjusted trip (sept 24-oct 4)

OK I'm back again to finish up Saturday/Sunday at universal. As I mentioned in the last post we had a bit of some trouble with our mobile order for lunch, which left me a bit hangry, but once I got that in I was ready to go do the scarecrow stalk. I was a bit off on my last post; as I went...

    Fall-ing in love with a Universal/Disney COVID adjusted trip (sept 24-oct 4)

Ok so here we go for sat sept 26 at universal/islands of adventure. we normally tend to take the walkway for early park hours, but our room this time was so convenient to the busses that we primarily used that. Saturday we knew would be the busiest day, as it was the first “official” day of...

    Fall-ing in love with a Universal/Disney COVID adjusted trip (sept 24-oct 4)

I’m sorry I didn’t get a chance to update further before your trip! We’re at the airport now waiting to get home so I’m going to try to write up some now, but I guess you saw how busy it was yesterday! Hopefully you got to enjoy some today with the lower crowds

    Fall-ing in love with a Universal/Disney COVID adjusted trip (sept 24-oct 4)

Good morning everyone! I haven’t had much time the past couple days to update, but I woke up early today and G & B are still asleep, so let’s try to update on the past two days Friday: I woke up early Friday as well (notice a trend?) and sat on my phone in the living room area of the room...

    Fall-ing in love with a Universal/Disney COVID adjusted trip (sept 24-oct 4)

We’re here! Today went about as smooth as it could, but still traveling is tiring. We left about 9:30 this am for our 12:15 flight. We live a little over an hour from 3 airports, so it’s nice to have those options. Today’s flight was at the furthest away, Norfolk Va. The check in process...

Maybe we will see you Friday at the parks! It looks like they are going to have some fun Halloween themed stuff, but not sure what days they are going to be. We shall see! I hope you all have a great trip :)

    Fall-ing in love with a Universal/Disney COVID adjusted trip (sept 24-oct 4)

Schumigirl I actually thought of you and your cancelled trip as soon as the rumors came about the “mini” HHN. I know you guys always come this time of year and love it. If I wasn’t such a scaredy cat I would do a house for you hahah. my apprehension about the halloween festivities mainly...

of course now I cant find it again 😔 It was in the UOAP FB group, but was just shared as a screen grab there actually I believe. I did find these though, the gentleman said it took about 20 minutes to do the walk to get all the stamps and that there were multiple treat options at the end.

    Fall-ing in love with a Universal/Disney COVID adjusted trip (sept 24-oct 4)

Good morning everyone! We are a week away from out trip, so I figure this is as good a time as any to start our (pre) trip report. This was originally scheduled way before COVID and we had to make some adjustments. There was concern that my work wouldn't allow me to go either, but after a...

    Scarecrow stalk at Universal

Yes we happened to be there in December and really like the minion ornament; great keepsake from the trip. I’m excited they are doing this for Halloween. We go next week so will definitely be checking it out

    Scarecrow stalk at Universal

here’s a surprise! Starting today through nov 1 you can do a scavenger hunt to find themed scarecrows and get a sweet surprise at the end. this appears to only be at Universal Studios, and the first stop is the universal store just inside the gate. Presumably, like the Christmas tree stroll, you...

    Best Hotel option during COVID

We really love cabana bay and our four year old does too. Endless summer was nice, especially the room (suite) but the pool is lacking. I say if money is not a concern, keep what you have. If you want to save a little go with cabana bay. The suites there are really nice too. And if you don’t...

1st time going to Universal and I am so confused

So my son is 4 and we have been going since he was 18 months old. We’re going back next week and this is the first time I think he has been actually excited about it. I caught him watching an ET ride video on YouTube the other day and he was saying he wanted to ride it. Worth noting that ET has...

people who travel often & for over a week, how do you get so much vacation time at work? or is your job flexible?

We have a base of 2 weeks off (4 hours per pay period) which increases the longer you have been there. I currently am at 6 hours per pay period. I also work a lot of overtime in the summer, and for that we accrue additional time off instead of pay.

I’m probably one of the minority in this, but I’m not excited about it haha. We don’t do HHN, and we were looking forward to a slower/lower crowd trip in a few weeks. We’re supposed to be there sept 25-27 and oct 2-4 (Disney during the week). Already know weekends are going to be more...
