I'm never taking WDW for granted ever again

In fairness, I did consider that. But title of the thread aside, this post really is about DLR. Also I was looking for people to tell me what it is I'm missing here and not an echo chamber of people who agree with me without anything of substance to add.

I'm never taking WDW for granted ever again

QS: French Market and Paradise Garden Grill for meals and got a churro at the cozy cone. Sadly they were out of the dipping sauce, but the mobile order had already been placed. TS: Carnation Cafe for breakfast, since a Disney trip isn't really a Disney trip unless I get a Mickey waffle...

I'm never taking WDW for granted ever again

I'm a former CM. I'm usually the first to defend other CMs, but what I saw was abysmal. Maybe it was a fluke of a weekend (and I definitely hope it was) but this was my first time out west, so I can only go off of what I noticed. And maybe it's the fact that it's a locals park and not the place...

I'm never taking WDW for granted ever again

Ok. So I hear everyone on the do over trip not in October. I'll note that for next time. Also taking suggestions for QS, because apparently I chose incorrectly.

I'm never taking WDW for granted ever again

The simple fact is, fair comparison or not, it's a reality. If I don't like the food options at MK, I can take a quick monorail ride to the Poly for some lunch. For DHS, I can walk/boat ride/skyliner over to Epcot. And I'm not speaking about hypotheticals; I've actually done that on multiple...

I'm never taking WDW for granted ever again

I wouldn't say I had a terrible time. It was a solid B-, which only becomes an issue when you compare it to a park that is regularly an A/A+ and everyone and their dog telling you that DLR is sooooo much better in literally every way. I think more than anything, it was an issue of high expectations.

I'm never taking WDW for granted ever again

Thanks for your input. Pirates was definitely better, I'll admit to that (again, aside from that bland queue), as well as most of Fantasyland's rides, even with 4 of them breaking down on me during the ride. I'll keep the quick service in mind if I ever make my way back. I just need to get my...

I'm never taking WDW for granted ever again

I'm never taking WDW for granted ever again After 9 trips to WDW plus a college program, I finally took the plunge and went to Disneyland, because everyone says California has the better park. I can only speak to my experience, but it wasn't true in my case. Allow me to count the things I...

    Depression and Disney

I'm told I have depression along with a host of personality disorders. It's really more of the most intense self-hatred imaginable. And it gets worse when others don't share that hate towards me. Even being at Disney doesn't fix it. Sure I get to go on a spending spree like no other, but all...

    Sean Faulk?

My apologies if that's not how you feel. That was my perception of what I felt your opinion was at this point. Clearly, I was wrong and honestly I'm glad that my assumptions were incorrect. But again, I'm sorry for putting opinions in your mouth you don't hold.

    Sean Faulk?

My biggest problem with Craig, John, Craig, Kevin, Craig, Pete and Craig is that they come across as hating WDW. Not "There's room for improvement." Not "It's nice, but it used to be better." I mean "Walt Disney World and everyone besides us who goes there is complete trash and I'd rather be...

    Crowd Calendars Worth It?

Crowd calendars are ultimately a self-defeating prophecy. When everyone starts saying "Hey, this is a great time to go!" people will listen. It will work for a while, but as people adjust their habits, things start becoming much less predictable.

When Will People Start Camping Out at WDW for SWGE Opening?

Wait, wait, wait... you're telling me that there aren't people who quit their job so they can spend the next 5.5 months outside of DHS? This is what Disney gets for not running a $20Bil advertising campaign.

May the 4th in the parks

It'll be my arrival day. Take that for what you will, but I consider it a pretty special event. :rainbow::dogdance:

    BoG PPO or Fantasyland EMM?

Thanks a ton! This trip is a splurge for me (rewarded myself for a new job) so I figured I could splurge a little more. Also, that's two FP+'s I don't have to worry about.

    BoG PPO or Fantasyland EMM?

I'm planning on doing Peter Pan and 7DMT. Winnie the Pooh was an "if I have time, I'll ride it" sort of thing. As for Be our Guest, I do want to see the inside, but I also booked a lunch reservation, just in case this happened.

    BoG PPO or Fantasyland EMM?

I currently have a reservation for BoG at 8:25 and just learned that Disney made that day an Early Magic Morning day for Fantasyland. Am I better off keeping my reservation for Be our Guest or should I splurge and buy the ticket? I'm travelling solo, so it will just be one ticket to buy. Also, I...

How much would you pay for a SWL ride?

Universal charges $150 for Express pass at peak times, I could easily see Disney tripling that for SWGE.

What park do you spend the least time in?

Still DHS. I don't ride RNR or Tower, so Toy Story Land just means that the park now warrants a visit for 3 hours.

Is Port Orleans the only place to get Beignets??

It appears so. For some reason I could've sworn STK sold bags of them, but it appears they're other, non-beignet doughnuts.
