Is Kona Cafe breakfast really popular?

My husband does this! They'll still make it for you!

Is Kona Cafe breakfast really popular?

I think it's good and certainly worth a try! But the reason I keep going back is the Pineapple Macadamia Nut pancakes - holy smokes!

Is Kona Cafe breakfast really popular?

We were able to do walk-up with Kona in Dec when it said there were no times available for breakfast!

    Southwest flights

The nice thing about Southwest is if cost does go down, you can incredibly easily "rebook" at the lower price/miles. It's not even a new ticket, you just "change" your flight - select the same flight - and you'll get credited for the difference. I do this with almost every Southwest ticket I buy.

How to Switch Resorts guests in MDE?

I just had to call to do this - but it's the technology line and the waits aren't bad! My first time I got right through, second time waited 3 minutes! 407-939-4357

Questions that keep me up at night...

RE: #3 and #5 -- I work in Finance and we've seen a pretty interesting shift in a lot of client priorities since COVID. A lot of our super-savers and FIRE clients have pivoted to more of a "YOLO" mindset. No one is guaranteed tomorrow, or next year, and I think COVID made that feel more real for...

Gran Destino Tower or Swan for 4 nights in May?

GDT all day! We've stayed there a handful of times, and stayed at most of the Deluxe resorts on property, and honestly GDT feels more "Deluxe" than a lot of them to me. We love the new, modern rooms, the lobby, the lounges, and there are so many food options. And it's very centrally located, so...

    Mears vs Sunshine Flyer

We just got back from our trip and we used Sunshine Flyer. I was optimistic, but I have to agree with what others have mentioned here - the pickup experience from MCO is a quite chaotic. I know Magical Express wasn't perfect, but it was your first taste of being in the Disney bubble. SF was NOT...

    Mears vs Sunshine Flyer

We're doing Sunshine Flyer on Wednesday. I did quite a bit of research before booking and things looked relatively similar. I think people tend to lean toward Mears because it's familiar and in the old ME location. But I wanted to try something new! Fingers crossed it's a good experience!

What's the big deal about Gideon's?

I think a lot of it is for the experience - it's super cute inside! Haunted mansion-y. Every time I've been we were able to join the virtual queue, and once we were called to join we probably only waited ~15 minutes in line. I agree that the cookies are a bit intense - I don't like the chocolate...

Please help me choose between resorts!

Hello! So we currently have a stay booked for early December at Wilderness Lodge in a Club Level room. But I'm room lurker so I'm always looking around at availability at other resorts to see what pops up. We can move to Polynesian Club level for about the same price. Same general room category...

    Venting…dentist office stuff.

I make more $ than my husband. I file our taxes. I handle most our finances. His name is usually first in correspondence, on invitations, all that jazz. I honestly could not care less. I can't imagine there is malicious intent with most of these examples. Rather, a combination of traditional...

    Is Coral Reef still....bad?

If it weren't for the unique atmosphere, I'd probably never need to go again. The food is "fine" -- but it's pricey for what it is, in my opinion. And so many other options in Epcot.

Am I looking for the impossible? A QUIET restaurant...

The most relaxing dinner we've had on property was at Flying Fish. If we're looking for a quiet experience with fewer kids, we opt for seafood-heavy restaurants and later reservation times (8:30+). That combo usually seems to work :)

    Transportation loop plan?

We love days like this! It’s been made harder recently without all the boats running between the monorail loop resorts. You usually need to incorporate a bus between monorail resorts and Skyliner resorts unless you have a park hopper ticket and want to walk through Epcot. We like to start at...

Favorite under-rated ride, experience, and foods (and what's over-rated)!

Underrated: The Brown Elephant drink at African Outpost in World Showcase. It's not even on the menu anymore, buy they will still make it if you ask! Victoria Falls lounge. I swear it's always empty when we are there? But a great place to relax & have a beverage. The Skyliner. I feel like I see...

    Sept vs Nov/Dec

Late Nov/early Dec is one of our favorite times to go. Seeing the parks all decorated for Christmas is my favorite! The weather is more mild than you'll find in Sept. Avoiding crowds seems pretty impossible at this point, so I would focus on the variables you can control: (general) weather...

    Yachtman's With a 1 Year Old

It's not like people came on here and started complaining about seeing children in Disney. The OP didn't ask for advice from "other parents". They asked for advice from "other diners".

Second thoughts on POR - rooms

I think the grounds are lovely! But I personally think the rooms are a downgrade from Coronado, if that's what you're comparing to.
