DCL only opens a percentage of slots to website reservations; we have always been able spots once we're on the ship.

Thank you for being the master of ceremonies and pulling all of the FE information together! I created a chart of everyone's cabins and DIS names, and i will hopefully bring enough printouts for everyone in case anyone forgets their list.

I am so impressed; I know I won't start on them until Christmas week because things will be too crazy at work before then. I was relieved to see that the number is fairly small this time -- we had over 50 FE cabins on our last cruise, and I handmade every single one of them -- about 400 gifts...

I LOVE this idea about the notes! I had the same thought about "what if?" wishful thinking. On our last Disney cruise, one of our FE groupies was upgraded to a Cat 1 when she arrived at port. Needless to say, we had a DIS meet and greet there!

Quick dumb question -- it looks like the boarding process has changed since we last cruised in 2009 and you now get an appointment time for port arrival. Does this mean that gone are the days of showing up at the port at 9 to see if you can get an upgrade?

I'm not sure how far you're willing to drive, but if you want a nice restaurant to end the vacation with a delicious bang, I would recommend Seasons 52 or Bahama Breeze in Altamonte Springs (or Mimi's Cafe, which is also in Altamonte). Altamonte isn't far off of I-4, so you could head there...
