Destash 2020 Time to Putter with Clutter

Massive purge in the bedroom Monday. Still a lot to do but made a huge dent. Today is going to be a mix of front room tidying & bedroom tidying. 75/1200

Destash 2020 Time to Putter with Clutter

Gave a friend an old travel purse & an old passport holder (she’s going on her first overseas trip this summer). I should be able to bump up my numbers a lot next week when I’m on Spring Break & tackle the garage. 37/1200

Destash 2020 Time to Putter with Clutter

Bedroom declutter. Didn’t keep track exactly but counted it as 25 items out. Mostly clothing & an old makeup bag with expired makeup. 30/1200

Destash 2020 Time to Putter with Clutter

Late start here but my goal is 1200 items in 2020. I printed out 2 pages with 6 100 charts on them (I’m a teacher) & I make a check as I remove items. So far: -2 items from the bathroom cabinet -1 coffee mug taken to work -1 kids book taken to work for prize box 4/1200

Planning a Trip in 2019? Let's Share Our Budgets!

Budget is still in flux on next summers anniversary trip to France but I just need to vent about the planning a bit. First off, I LOVE trip planning. Its one of my favorite stress relievers. That said, I'm on probably Version 8 or 9 of a schedule and I am DONE. There's a linchpin that...

One Day, Both Parks: Possible or Crazy?

Looking online, average temps in July are in the 70s-80s. We're from Texas so even if its in the mid-90s we will be fine. Not terribly thrilled with crowds but if its a necessary evil, that's OK.

    Anyone Christmas shopping yet... continued...

We love it. There's a great old hotel in our area that does a very traditional afternoon tea (Its what they served to Queen Elizabeth when she visited decades ago). The hotel is gorgeous and the service is amazing. We love to just sit & relax and enjoy our time together.

One Day, Both Parks: Possible or Crazy?

It would be a Friday in early July. Don't need to see everything, just some of the highlights & any rides that are unique to DP.

    Anyone Christmas shopping yet... continued...

I think I'm about done. Need something for my mom for Christmas but we tend to do more experiences as opposed to physical gifts so I'll just find something fun we can do. Maybe afternoon tea at a fancy hotel again. We really cut down our list a few years ago & DHs family went to a Dirty Santa...

    Christmas as kids grow up

I haven't read all the comments but on my side of the family, Santa still comes to everyone. My grandfather had a stocking every year until he died at age 91 and my parents (in their 70s) still get a stocking every year. I like it. Its a nice little treat for us to just sit around & pull...

One Day, Both Parks: Possible or Crazy?

I'm in the planning stages of a HUGE trip to France. At this point I've tentatively put down a day at Disneyland Paris. Since we would only have 1 day I would want to do both parks. We're 2 adults so we're fine with going hard core, open to close. Not wanting to stay on-site (not in the budget).

    Shopkick ideas and suggestions

Thanks for the tip on the videos! I had no idea. After I hit my limit in Swagbucks & run CheckPoints for awhile I'll have to roll over to ShopKick for a bit.

Anyone started Christmas shopping, or even thinking about Christmas yet.

Went to Penzeys today & got 2 Fruita seasonings for the kids stockings as well as some powdered ginger for my MILs stocking. Both marked down to $2/jar. They also had the Teacher gifts marked down to $6 so I got one for me & another for my son to give in the family gift exchange. Walked out...

    Favorite Disney Souvenirs?!

I don't collect a lot but I love posters & postcards that I can hang in my classroom as well as mugs & cups I can use. My current favorite is a little Stella Lou mug from Tokyo DisneySea.

Is TDL or DS even worth it in late July?

We rented an apartment & the owner recommended a shuttle service that offered a flat rate so we took advantage of that. We were coming off a Princess cruise ship and were at the port of Yokohama as well. We had a slight bit of trouble connecting with the shuttle driver but once we found each...

    Food Recommendations

We liked the Gyoza Dog & the Ukiwa bun (I even got a keyring of the Ukiwa bun) and I loved the Minnie ice cream that is enclosed in a light wafer cookie. For meals we liked the NY Deli and we tried Miguel's El Dorado Cantina (not bad but as Texans we were amused). I wish we could have gone...

Is TDL or DS even worth it in late July?

We were in Tokyo July 14-17 of last year (came off a cruise ship). We did Tokyo DisneySea on that Friday & it wasn't too bad and we even showed up late. We did the Nemo ride first (Journey to the Center of the Earth was closed :( ) & did a FastPass for ToT. Note: Be sure to get the English...
