I would absolutely call the front desk and report this to them--the specific room number. There's a good chance they'll send an engineer CM to check it out as the resort is quite responsive to guests' inputs. :thumbsup2

Out of curiosity, have you had this problem before in a 1BR? Are they new dryers? I ask because I didn't think they'd actually changed the general footprint of the rooms other than to accommodate the Murphy beds and such.

Search back to page 70 of this thread for a few pics. Most balconies have rocking chairs and perhaps a small table, especially studios. Some other than studio rooms have said rocking chairs and also a small round table with bench chairs--rather like a circular picnic table. As for whether a 1BR...

18 is great, though it sits behind 31 as the most requested building. Next to those, I'd add 29, 27, and the hidden gem, 13. The schedulers tend not to put families with small kids there (distance to the pool), so it's usually very quiet and does have a marsh view.

VWL Groupies & Lovers Thread (Special Collectors Edition 2.0) updated 21 June 2023

So, we've all heard of Throwback Thursday, but how about Wayback Wednesday? As part of the history of our Groupies thread, we've preserved the links to the origination of said thread on Page 1. If you recall, in the past there were length limits on threads, so when a group such as ours reached...

VWL Groupies & Lovers Thread (Special Collectors Edition 2.0) updated 21 June 2023

Every time I think about adding on, I make myself look over the dues chart. . .which promptly snaps me back into reality. pirate:

I watched it before seeing this note. They did seem to love it, but they could have gone into a little better detail about things such as the parking situation, the Beach House, which buildings seem to offer the best marsh views (and they kept calling the marsh a "bay"), etc. Still, I posted a...

As you can see, the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash now have pump buttons on the bottom vice pump spouts on the top. pirate: Edited to add: The containers in the shower/tub have locking mechanisms on top if any of you are worried about such things. ;)

VWL Groupies & Lovers Thread (Special Collectors Edition 2.0) updated 21 June 2023

The OP of the thread was often on our page (still visits occasionally), and when CCV was built, began the official thread. It's sort of a sister page, if you will. pirate:

We didn't find them particularly hard or uncomfortable. Keep in mind, that they were just installed, as well, so they're going to be firmer to start. Further, I think the symmetry is still there, though perhaps not in exact alignment of items. For example, the shiplap is quite symmetrical, and I...

VWL Groupies & Lovers Thread (Special Collectors Edition 2.0) updated 21 June 2023

Morning, Groupies! Here at the World now, though preparing to leave and head to my older daughter's home in Melbourne in a couple of hours. This is day 4 of our trip, and I thought I'd share a few nuggets with you. - Our first night was at HHI, and the new refurbishment is quite lovely. While...

Yes, they did switch the couch and bed with the bed now closer to the balcony, and the Murphy bed sits next to the bathroom. And, yes, the coffee table top does lift to use as a table which I love (we have one at home). Does the ottoman fit with it at the right height? That I don't know, but I'd...

Yes. Plus, they've arranged the room a bit differently. Could they have shoved the queen bed and Murphy bed closer together? Sure, but it would've been tight. Now, they could have made the long dresser shorter and put a small table with chairs there, but I never much cared for that arrangement...

No. But I think they're still letting guests rent those rooms. To be fair, there isn't room in the studio without making it tight, due to the fact the Murphy bed takes up a lot of space when it's pulled down. 17 is still being worked on, as well, it appeared. On a side note, when you check in...

Here are some pictures of the elevator shaft addition to Bldg 28. Guests will have possible HA access to not only the GV but also the four 2BRs on either end as they're connected via a walkway that is similar to what is found at Bldgs 14 and 15. Top floor elevator entrance Looking down the...

Here now! Arrived around 1245 and the studio was ready! I wasn't too surprised since those are the easiest to clean and often open up first. I was here when they did the first test rooms in Bldg 30, and I thought even then that the updated rooms were an improvement, though perhaps lacking in the...

Duh, yeah. Obviously, I was "sleepywalking" when I read her note. pirate: That being admitted, I totally agree with your comments about the beach at HHI--absolutely gorgeous and versatile. ::yes::
