DAS changes coming WDW May 20/ DL June 18, 2024

I haven’t read every single post here so maybe it’s been posted already but I am wondering about the period before the new rules go into effect. My DS and I will be in the parks 5/13-5/21. I have had a DAS in the past (it expired in 2/2024) but it seems likely my accommodation request will not...

What's Your Favorite Song on Guardians of the Galaxy?

September, One Way or Another and Disco Inferno. In that order. Don’t like Conga as a song and Everybody Rules the World drags down the pace of the ride for me. I’ve never had I Ran, always hoping to experience it.

Disney's PORT ORLEANS FRENCH QUARTER RESORT Information & Questions

We are staying at POFQ in May. Any idea when we will know which building they will start with? Not until work actually starts? Just trying to figure out my room request.

For those who take yearly trips..how many park days?

10 days was typical of our yearly trip (airfare tends to be cheapest Sat-Tue) with 8-9 days including a water park. We aren’t big on full rest days, so mix up rope drop and sleeping in.

Has anyone joined a virtual queue for rides while flying with southwest?

We tried to do this in September but the plane’s internet wasn’t working…which seems relatively common.

    Menus not updated??

Yes, go to the customer service window to the left of Pioneer Hall before the show and they will issue a refund. I have done HDDR twice in past 10 months and didn’t receive AP discount when I booked/prepaid either time. In fact, just to check, I just made mock bookings for Cat 1 and Cat 2 and...

Frozen spiked coffee at Norway or Kat’s spiked cold brew in HS

Viking is my vote. It took an entire day to get the taste of Kat’s cold brew out of my mouth. Blech, i hated it.. Will try it again sometime in case it was a bad batch.

"Official" 2023 Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party - Yuletide Joy

We attended Tuesday’s party. Our annual trip is usually in September or October so I have been to MNSSHP most years since 2006 but it has been years since I went to MVMCP. I had been longing for a Christmas trip! We had a wonderful time! I thought it was less crowded than our last couple...

    Jollywood Nights-Hearing Some Negative Feedback...

Our plan is similar. The food doesn’t look that awesome to me so I am keeping my Flying Fish adr beforehand. If we see a short line, though, we will grab a drink, maybe at Oga’s where they were begging guests to come in. The livestream I watched on Saturday showed no one in line for...

"Official" 2023 Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party - Yuletide Joy

We missed our Tron return window during MNSSHP and they were super accommodating. That’s one data point - hopefully, others can corroborate.

    Dining reservation priority

Space has been very difficult for me this entire year. That’s what I would book first.

Menus and prices for Epcot Festival of the Holidays

The cookie stroll cookies seem pretty boring so I will skip but lots of other good sounding stuff especially drinks.

    Seats and Sweets logistics

Interesting theory, we have been a party of 2 every time in past few years. Since they know the composition of parties, in that sense, there likely is a bit of pre-assignment for larger tables no matter what. But I do wonder if there might be some confusion about the process - possibly just...

    Buffet/All-you-can-eat for teen boys?

Yes, personal taste is important. None of my boys like Biergarten. Like, at all. The smell of sauerkraut, etc. It’s their dad’s favorite though. We were there in September and my oldest chose to ride rides rather than eat there. So do look at menus first.

    Chef Art Smith's Homecoming

Agree with this. Both the mac n cheese and mashed potatoes seemed different, not for the better, in September. We like Homecomin’ and will return in another trip or two. But Jaleo was fantastic!
